Attended the quarterly sales workshop at Meriteus Mandarin in Orchard Road last Saturday morning and I must say it was absolutely boring : ( It was all about SWOT and CSA and there was really nothing much to look forward to. The market trend presentation was also in a mess and frankly speaking, I absolutely had no idea what it was : / Guess the only thing to cheer about was a gift from Boss for my 3 years with the company (It was a lady's pen from Tiffany & Co) and international buffet lunch at Triple 3 : ) I had 11 oysters by the way and I believed my cholestrol level must be sky-high right now : P
Met up with King Kong who was waiting for me at the lobby and together, we took Bus 123 to my place where I went to have a quick shower and a change of comfy clothes of T-shirt, bermudas and flip-flops : ) We proceeded to Little India as he wanted to bring me to Hindu temples to look at the various Ganesha status (Unfortunately, due to the timing, the trip was not fruitful) We continued walking from Race Course Road to Bartley Road where we had turtle soup for dinner. It tasted quite good, just that the turtle flesh was in bite-sizes. I would prefer it to be in bigger chunks. Hence, my vote goes to the turtle soup stall in MacPherson Road! : )
After the super heaty dinner, we took a bus to Bishan Junction 8 to catch "The Battle of Red Cliff" and along the way, both of us fell asleep : P (It is a waste of time to look at the moving scenary when you are sleepy eh?) The show was fantastic with its war scenes and I must say that I was bowled over by Kaneshiro Takeshi, who starred as Zhuge Liang (He's really the world's most beautiful man~!)
As for Sunday, we stayed at home and watched HK drama serials and snoozing away. We also made a brief appearance at his baby niece's babyshower buffet. I must say that I was quite bored as I did not know many of the people there; acted as a smiling mannequin during our 45-minute stay (Fortunately, it was just 45 minutes : ) ) Took a bus to Loyang Tua Pek Kong Temple as I wanted to offer incense and we proceeded to Bugis to have dim sum dinner after that. We completed the day with ice cold soya beancurd from Rochor : P~
