Rainy Night

Watched "881" for the 2nd time, at Aunt's request, just now. I must say that the show is quite successful because it still fails to bore me : ) But enough is enough, I will not watch it for the 3rd time (> . <)

Yesterday afternoon, I traveled all the way to Tampines for Sworn Sista's housewarming party. Met Steven at NTUC and bought a bottle of sparking brut, despite knowing that she couldn't drink : P (There was nothing presentable to buy and I couldn't possibly just buy a box of chocolate eh?) Took the feeder bus and due to some miscommunication, we were lost. Walked around the precinct and our frustration was compounded by the sudden passing showers and pending hunger pangs. Finally we reached and sad to say, met with cold reception. Guess she was too busy with other guests to entertain us (I had to understand, I had to understand...). Saw Peter and the 3 of us ate while doing the catching up. Peter is currently a part-time property agent; he is an air force regular during the day. Heard from him that he is doing pretty well albeit busy. Good for him, at least the lost guy has found his direction : ) As for Steven, he is still studying in NTU - 2 more years to go before he completes his studies and I was quite sad to know that he was very stressed up because of his girlfriend. The latter wants to settle down by the age of 28 and judging by the current situation, it is impossible (unless he robs a bank).

Thus, both Peter and I were trying our best to perk Steven up as well as to come up with solutions. The conclusion was to plan and execute; with the consent of his girlfriend. To think of it, guys in Singapore are pathetic - They have to plan and cough up the moolah for their weddings and it doesn't help that the female population is getting more and more demanding : (

After the event, the 3 of us left and I met Skinny Bones at Raffles City for a quick bite at MOS Burger before heading for the SPI seminar. The topics were interesting: 观落音(Tour to the Netherworld) and Ghost Marriages. If I have the chance to tour the Netherworld, I guess I would grab the chance to see how it is like : ) After the seminar ended, both Skinny Bones and I went home. I was bushed!

I was bushed because the previous night, I attended Adeline's pre-birthday celebration buffet dinner at the Melt Restaurant in the Oriental Hotel. We had a fantastic time talking about BGC and Boss (What's new? He and his rat hole will always be our favorite topic :P ) and of course, sex (Human nature eh?) The food was good - I had a great time pigging the raw oysters, cold slipper lobsters, prawns (Yes, prawns and not shrimps), BBQ lamp chops and cantaloupe (It's not some fanciful dessert. It's fruit! I am a default dieter, you bastard!) Sad to say, all good things must come to an end and we left with the happy memories behind . . . except Adeline, Rightie and me!

Not willing to go home and be good girls, we went to The Bellini Room to meet Skinny Bones. While he was busy entertaining his other guests, the 3 of us were enjoying the swing of the jazz themed pub and chugging beer. Good to gather once again (And I don't mean with the rest). Pioneers will always be pioneers and the bond, strange to say, is different; it is more meaningful and I must say the telepathy is there. Too bad Amy was absent : ( (You bitch! You heard me! You must turn up the next time, alright!)

After the live band ended and after downing the Bellini cocktail, we left. This time round, to nowhere, but to respective homes : )
