I am going to J-Salon, as recommended by Adeline, later on. I am too frustrated with the frequent flyaway hair - Guess this present hairstyle is not suitable for me : ( Actually had been to Tommy's about 3 weeks back and I guess it must have been the "regular customer syndrome" - I realized that for most or rather, all, hairstylists, they are not as attentive to regular customers as compared to new ones. It happened to Kevin (My previous hairstylist whom I had patronized for a year) and Tommy.
When I first patronized Kevin, he was very attentive and detailed to what I wanted for my haircut and he did the hair washing and hair blowing for me himself. However, after a couple of times, he chucked the mundane activities to his assistant and what was most frustrating was halfway through snipping my crown of glory, he would shift his attention to another customer (whose hair was also half-way through : ( ) It made me wonder if he knew what he was doing and many a time, after a week, I would have flyaway hair. (I strongly believe flyaway hair would not be present in a good haircut for at least a month). This made me feel that my loyalty towards his art was taken for granted.
Defected to Tommy after good recommendation from Amy. Usually, I am one who is brand-loyal and hardly experiments with other brands. However, after seeing how beautiful Amy's bob was, I decided to go ahead with the new hairstylist. True enough, I was truly impressed by my first hair by him and I was assured that my flyaway problem would be gone forever with his fine art. Unfortunately, sad to say, after a few visits, the "regular customer syndrome" surfaced and it was compounded when Amy complained about his lack of professionalism (Tommy was supposed to correct her awful hairstyle by another hairstylist in the same salon, but he made it worse and it didn't help that her dye job flopped). Felt sick about the whole issue and out from nowhere, Adeline walked into the office with her new straightened bob one fine day and I saw a glimpse of hope.
Disappointed with Tommy and exasperated with the forever flyaway hair, I asked Adeline for her hairstylist's contact. Made an appointment with her via the phone on the spot and right now, I am feeling butterflies in my tummy. I wonder what art would Adeline's hairstylist create on my head. Feeling excited right now...
Anyway, it's time to bathe and rush to the salon!
