Just came back from a jog and I am feeling sweaty and boiling and right now! While jogging with BoyBoy, I came across a middle-aged man with his wife standing by the side of the pavement. As usual, BoyBoy, the ever-ultra friendly pup tried to paw on them. I quickly dragged him away and the man started swearing at us, even saying that he would kick BoyBoy if he touched his legs. At that point of time, I was so mad such that I had wanted to turn back and scream vulgarities at him. If we were engaged in a vulgarity match, I would not lose. If need be, I would not pull back any punches. However, something just stopped me and my feet continued to pound the pavement (It must have had been my motor coordination issue again : ( )
Feeling pissed all the way. Damn it! If I had a gun, I would have treated him a headshot! *feeling evil and violent* >: ( Anyway, it's inevitable to come across non-animal lovers around. Boo.
Back to happy moments - Took MC to visit King Kong yesterday afternoon. He had slimmed down by tonnes and I was so amazed - I nearly couldn't recognize him. (I still prefer his old look) Had brunch and watched SCV at his home (Yes, it's the truth. Nothing but the truth). Though we did not do any incredibly interesting stuff, we had a great time catching up. I felt so happy that I could see him again. It had been a long wait though it was only slightly over a month.
Left at dinnertime and met up with Adeline, Ellen Lee and Deryx to collect mooncakes from Sze Chuan Court at Raffles The Plaza. (Yes, you heard it right. It's mooncakes. We belong to the kiasu category) All of us were lugging the heavy paperbags and I remember mine was the heaviest because I bought 3 boxes of mooncakes. Hahaha..a small price for gourmet stuff : P Don't believe? Take a look...

Clip
After watching the beautiful moves of Capoeira in "Tom Yum Goong", I went online to fish for more information about the Brazilian martial art-cum-dance : ) Happened to chance upon a clip which I find it very interesting : )
How nice if I am able to dance like "Chun Li"; unfortunately, I know I lack the motor coordination skills and my bones are very stiff. Yes, in short, I cannot dance : ( Usually when I go clubbing with the girls, I would be found sitting on my butt and enjoying the loud thumping music and beer, unless I really feel like gyrating that particular night (which is highly impossible : P ) Really envy Rightie, who can dance really well and of course, Amy's super duper smooth moves : ) (Adeline! No dance moves for me to envy, I can only admire your slim calves which look purrr-fect regardless standing or sitting down :P )

Sleep
Nothing happened for the past few days except work and play. Had a fantastic Sunday afternoon because I had my well-deserved beauty sleep! Woke up at 10:30am to find that Aunt had not bought breakfast for me (She assumed that I was going out for brunch). Feeling lazy, I popped a Royal Jelly capsule and drank a glass of water before plopping back into bed. Hunger woke me up at 12:30pm and I hated to think that I had to walk to the nearest coffeeshop to buy lunch. Had wanted to sleep it off, but it was getting harder to bear. Finally, I walked to the kitchen and saw a plate of rice, a piece of curry-soaked chicken thigh and cabbage, which Aunt bought for me! Yay~!~ I love Aunt~!~! She's the best! : )
After hungrily gobbling the food and watching "Tom Yum Goong" on Channel 62, I went back to sleep. It was 2:30pm : P Woke up at 5:30pm, bathed and went to Sushi Tei at Vivocity for dinner with Aunt (I knew she loved the food there and I wanted to appreciate her love for me : ) ) After walking around the huge shopping mall, we left for home.
Right now, I am feeling so sick that I have to go back to work later on : ( Having the pre-Monday blues; these few days, good resumes are getting more and more scarce and clients are getting pickier and pickier. I cannot believe it : ( Getting more and more stressed by the day and it doesn't help that weekly sales meetings are on Mondays. *Sigh*

Memoirs of the Genting - KL Trip
Received an SMS from Fat Boy one fine day last month:
Him: "Hey, I am going to a factory visit in Malaysia in August. Keen?"
Me: (Thinking that I could skip work) "Sure!"
Day 1 (17 August 2007)
Feeling sleepy but I refused to snooze because I had to leave the house at 2:30am for Woodlands Checkpoint. Felt a tinge of sadness because I was going to miss BoyBoy for 3 days and 2 nights and I knew the poor guy would lose his appetite and sleep over my absence : (
Reached Woodlands Checkpoint at 4:30am. Fat Boy introduced me to his colleagues and their WAGS (Wives And Girlfriends). I was pleased that I was the prettiest amongst the ladies : ) Munched 2 slices of kaya toast and a cup of hot Milo because I was afraid that I might be hungry later on. There were 9 of us and I believed it would be very fun for the next few days : ) Sat in the car of Fat Boy's most handsome colleague, Jerry (The youngest in the team and unfortunately, he's married : ( )
During the tedious journey, I was asleep most of the time and I remember waking up freezing cold. Sleeping with the neck tilted 45 degrees was no fun and my whole body was aching all over. It didn't help that Jerry, Fat Boy and Shirleen (The Boss's Personal Assistant) were lousy in their direction. We were lost for hours and finally we reached the factory. The time was 10:30am : ( I was feeling hungry, cold and sore all over.
The factory visit was kind of boring, mainly because I am not in the trade (Anyway, what's so interesting about wood?) Fortunately, I had one of the WAGS (Jennifer - The wife of David, Fat Boy's colleague) to pour my grievances to. As we were in the same boat, we clicked almost immediately : ) As Shirleen (The Boss's Personal Assistant) forgot to bring along her digicam, I became the team's photographer. I took pictures of the products and processes (How boring).
Finally, the visit came to an end and we were given a lunch treat by the suppliers : ) Though the dishes were nothing fantastic, they were Godsend to our growling tummies. We proceeded to Genting after that.
Though the journey to Genting was not as tedious and long, I continued to sleep (Life's beautiful) and before I knew it, I was awakened by the cold misty air. Checked into First World Hotel and was displeased to realize that there was no toothbrush and toothpaste : ( Had a short beauty sleep before meeting up with the rest for dinner. After a satisfying hot dinner, it was casino for some of them and shopping for others. I chose the latter and bought 2 pairs of shoes : ) Because time was short, Fat Boy refused to sleep early; I had to accompany him, despite feeling tremendously sleepy. Had coffee and 2 sticks of ciggies while chatting with him. It had been a long time since we last had a heart-to-heart chat. Ultimately, I could not tolerate anymore and both of us drifted to our respective slumberland.
Day 2 (18 August 2007)
Woke up feeling sleep-deprived; but I knew it was ridiculous to sleep in on a holiday, especially when it was for such a short period. Was quite excited about breakfast (I love hotel breakfast!) but the enthusiasm died the moment I stepped into the cookhouse lookalike cafe; it was like a refugee camp and everybody was snatching the food as if they were on ration. Had some sausages, 2 sunny-side ups and a slice of toasted bread. The sight killed all appetite.
As the rest wanted to continue trying their luck in the casino (and it happened that I am not a gambler), Fat Boy and I went to take the cable car. Was quite impressed by the scenic view of Genting and after 15 minutes, we came to the terminal, which we bought foodstuff like cuttlefish and dried mango. We also went to view their indoor animal gallery - It was very similar to that of Singapore. Snapped many happy pictures of ourselves and the animals : ) After that, we quickly rushed back to First World Hotel to pack our stuff and hopped onto Jerry's car for our next destination: Kuala Lumpur.
As usual, we were lost again; but this time, it was only for an hour : P Checked into Concorde Hotel and was relieved to know that it was different from First World Hotel : ) After unpacking our belongings, both Fat Boy and I, together with Jennifer and David, walked to KLCC - One of the latest and biggest shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. Initially, I thought I would do lotsa shopping, but KLCC is just simply Vivocity-meets-Ngee Ann City, the prices of the stuff were more or less similar to Singapore's. After walking around aimlessly for an hour, I could feel my tired calves screaming out loud - Suggested to Fat Boy that it would be good if we could return to the hotel to rest before going for dinner. He agreed and the 4 of us hurriedly made our way back to rest.
After snoozing for an hour and feeling fresh and bright, we proceeded to have our ala carte buffet dinner at a Chinese restaurant : ) Good food and service. Thought it was the best dinner we had so far. As it was the last night, the 4 of us made our way to one of the pubs while the rest stayed back - They were too lethargic from intensive gambling in Genting and had wanted to recuperate their minds and pockets.
Day 3 (19 August 2007)
Had a fantastic heavy breakfast at Concorde's Melting Pot cafe. Gulped down a small bowl of prawn noodle soup, a sunny-side up, a slice of white bread, some sausages, crispy waffle with butter and maple syrup and chunks of watermelon! It had been a long time since I indulged and I guessed it was only right that I did so at that point of time : ) After the heavy meal, I felt it was a good idea to sleep (Despite knowing that it would induce a bigger tummy!) and I did : P Finally, at the struck of 12 noon, all of us gathered at the hotel lobby while Fat Boy helped us to check out. Due to some internal issues (which one of the colleagues and his friend left before the agreed timing), both Fat Boy and I sat in David's and Jennifer's car instead of Jerry's (So sick, so sick). On the way back to Singapore, we pulled over and had a good lunch and durian feast in one of the villages. I thought it was very good and I looked forward to the creamy and bittersweet flesh of the D2 durians in my mouth : D~~
Finally reached Singapore and boy, I was dead beat. Nevertheless, I miss the whole trip though it was only for a short period : ) I hope to have that kind of experience again: )

Massage vs Massage
I love massages, especially when a strong pair of hands rubs essential oil and unravel the knots of my aching muscles. Guess after slogging hard and slouching on the non-ergonomic armchair most of the time, a good massage is definitely more worthy than a pair of Ninewest shoes : P
Just now, after a hearty dinner of bak kut teh and avocado shake, Fat Boy and I went to a Chinese tui na centre in Joo Chiat. I had been complaining of aching muscles to him since we came back from Genting - Kuala Lumpur and I reckoned I would crumble if the aches continued. There was no way I could function properly with aching shoulders and neck : (
We reached at 8:30pm (It was the last slot for the day) sharp and after undressing, I was manhandled by a plump and friendly-looking masseuse. She used all her energy to rub, knead and bend my whole body. Her every touch inflicted great pain on me. Damn! It was so different from the usual snooze-inducing aromatherapy massages, which I would feel so at peace and holistic (Spa and massage parlors' favorite word). To decrease the amount of inflicted pain, I tried hard to breathe in and out and due to reflexes, my muscles seemed to harden in protest (Which caused the masseuse to keep reminding me to relax). Hence, the only way to relax was to chat with the masseuse. I threw her many questions regarding her personal life (and in return, she threw back several questions at me, guess it was to keep her awake). In no time, we were like long-time friends who could not stop talking and laughing (Affinity eh?). Before the session was up, she told me that my spine was crooked (She had no remedy for that) and it would also be good if I could sleep early because she could feel I had lotsa "internal heat".
Strange enough, after the torturous massage session, I felt very light and that my muscles were not as tight as before. It was very different from the usual aromatherapy which doesn't really do much on healing the aching spots - It is more of relaxation and sleep-induction : )
Went home to wash my oily hair and skin and while waiting for my hair to dry, I decided to write an entry as well as to add comments in the SPI forum. The time now is 1am, guess it's time for me to retire...

After Retreat. . .
Came home from the wonderful Kuala Lumpur - Genting trip yesterday! It was so short! How I wished it could have been longer : ( As usual, I just came back from jogging; I reckon I needed to burn the excess calories from the good food (Almost every meal was a buffet : P How not to be fat?)
Woke up early morning with a heavy head and sunken heart : ( I hate Mondays, I really do, especially the following Monday after a weekend retreat. Argh! I was the first one to reach the office (yes, I was the one who opened the door : () and the moment I saw my desk, I wanted to faint - It was like a complete warzone with papers and application forms lying around and my email inbox was full of resumes, clients' mails and spam : ( I must say that I had a hectic and tired day today and it doesn't help that it is only Tuesday tomorrow - I just want Fridays to come quickly right now!!
Had also wanted to write a beautiful and long entry regarding the trip, but after looking at the time (It is going to be 12 midnight soon), I believe I can fully utilize it by sleeping. Anyway, the photographs are still in my digicam - I am too lazy to upload them
: /
Guess I just have to bathe and hop into my warm and toasty bed soon!~
P/S: I promise to share regarding the retreat!~!~ Stay tuned!

Reversible
Ran into the cubicle and pulled down my undies. (Damn! It's the time of the month!) Quickly ran back to my drawer and get the sanitary napkin. (What the hell, what the hell, another 5 days of inconvenience and the fear of staining!)
It is no wonder for the abnormalities for the past few week:
Anyway, I had spent another 70 bucks on maintaining the condition of my complexion at Aunt Helen's just now. Regained an ease of mind and renewed confidence - I happened to stare into the mirror one fine day last week and was depressed to see clogged pores and zits on my face. It could be due to hormonal changes or dirt and dust from the Bintan trip weeks back : ( Guess I am paranoid of zits, clogged pores, blackheads and red patches, due to the eczema scare months back.
I must say that I am a vain person. I cannot tolerate any visible flaws on my face and ugly flyaway hair. Hence, I cannot fathom what happened to me a year back - After a grave mistake in lopping my long tresses, I started to have short and spiky hair (It is never easy to grow back long hair and I am never a patient person). I could not be bothered about dressing up for work as well - I was always in racerback or spaghetti tops. My eyebrows were like "red caterpillars" (I had not heard of eyebrow embroidery). Guess my looks were at rock bottom at that point of time - I felt ashamed of taking pictures because everybody was more outstanding than me : ( However, one fine day, I was suddenly awakened by "There are no ugly women in the world, just lazy ones". I browsed through the pictures that I had taken with my colleagues and I was affirmed that I was not an ugly kid > : ( Everything could still be salvaged : ) I did what I could and though the effect was not immediate, at the very least, I believe I am one of the prettiest* right now : )
*I've never acknowledged I am confident. I am just boastful : P
It is no wonder for the abnormalities for the past few week:
- My hair and skin was oilier than usual
- I had 2 big zits on the right side of my face - There was great itchy temptation to squeeze and the painful consequences of scarring to bear
- I felt so bloated that I could float on water
- The cravings for rice was so great that I was thinking of having it for dinner at 4pm :P
- God knew how many heads I had bitten off due to my fluctuating mood swings during office hours
- I needed sleep so much such that I wanted to apply for sick leave every single day

Rainy Night
Watched "881" for the 2nd time, at Aunt's request, just now. I must say that the show is quite successful because it still fails to bore me : ) But enough is enough, I will not watch it for the 3rd time (> . <)
Yesterday afternoon, I traveled all the way to Tampines for Sworn Sista's housewarming party. Met Steven at NTUC and bought a bottle of sparking brut, despite knowing that she couldn't drink : P (There was nothing presentable to buy and I couldn't possibly just buy a box of chocolate eh?) Took the feeder bus and due to some miscommunication, we were lost. Walked around the precinct and our frustration was compounded by the sudden passing showers and pending hunger pangs. Finally we reached and sad to say, met with cold reception. Guess she was too busy with other guests to entertain us (I had to understand, I had to understand...). Saw Peter and the 3 of us ate while doing the catching up. Peter is currently a part-time property agent; he is an air force regular during the day. Heard from him that he is doing pretty well albeit busy. Good for him, at least the lost guy has found his direction : ) As for Steven, he is still studying in NTU - 2 more years to go before he completes his studies and I was quite sad to know that he was very stressed up because of his girlfriend. The latter wants to settle down by the age of 28 and judging by the current situation, it is impossible (unless he robs a bank).
Thus, both Peter and I were trying our best to perk Steven up as well as to come up with solutions. The conclusion was to plan and execute; with the consent of his girlfriend. To think of it, guys in Singapore are pathetic - They have to plan and cough up the moolah for their weddings and it doesn't help that the female population is getting more and more demanding : (
After the event, the 3 of us left and I met Skinny Bones at Raffles City for a quick bite at MOS Burger before heading for the SPI seminar. The topics were interesting: 观落音(Tour to the Netherworld) and Ghost Marriages. If I have the chance to tour the Netherworld, I guess I would grab the chance to see how it is like : ) After the seminar ended, both Skinny Bones and I went home. I was bushed!
I was bushed because the previous night, I attended Adeline's pre-birthday celebration buffet dinner at the Melt Restaurant in the Oriental Hotel. We had a fantastic time talking about BGC and Boss (What's new? He and his rat hole will always be our favorite topic :P ) and of course, sex (Human nature eh?) The food was good - I had a great time pigging the raw oysters, cold slipper lobsters, prawns (Yes, prawns and not shrimps), BBQ lamp chops and cantaloupe (It's not some fanciful dessert. It's fruit! I am a default dieter, you bastard!) Sad to say, all good things must come to an end and we left with the happy memories behind . . . except Adeline, Rightie and me!
Not willing to go home and be good girls, we went to The Bellini Room to meet Skinny Bones. While he was busy entertaining his other guests, the 3 of us were enjoying the swing of the jazz themed pub and chugging beer. Good to gather once again (And I don't mean with the rest). Pioneers will always be pioneers and the bond, strange to say, is different; it is more meaningful and I must say the telepathy is there. Too bad Amy was absent : ( (You bitch! You heard me! You must turn up the next time, alright!)
After the live band ended and after downing the Bellini cocktail, we left. This time round, to nowhere, but to respective homes : )

Happy National Day
Happy National Day! Don't be mistaken. I am not happy over the nation's 42nd year of independence, I am just happy that today is a public holiday! Yay~!~ I woke up late, had Aunt's home cooked fried noodles and slacked in front of the PC. Yes! This is life!
Yesterday had absolutely no mood to work at all. All I did was to randomly browse through resumes, input my remarks in the SPI forum and walked in and out to the Ladies' with Adeline : ) Both of us were excited about going to Vivocity to have dinner at Bosses and catch "881" with Jacintha : ) Initially had wanted to go to Timbre with her best friend, Gabrielle, but at the last minute, she could not make it.
The 3 of us left the office immediately after our 6pm debrief : ) Took the train to Harbourfront and after purchasing the movie tickets, we headed for Bosses. The ambience was more of Hong Kong style, with Cantonese oldies playing in the background. As for the main dishes of Sze Chuan Chicken, Honey Grilled Pork Ribs, Sweet & Sour Fish with Pine Nuts and Spinach in Stock, it was average. Guess I still prefer Crystal Jade : ) However, as for the desserts, it was good. We ordered Buns stuffed with Red Bean Paste and Banana and I must say it tasted unique : ) Due to Adeline's curiosity, we also ordered their specialty Silky Custard Buns. Every bun is deep-fried to golden brown and it is filled with steaming liquid custard. As I was very full and of course, diet-conscious, I forfeited my bun to Adeline, who gobbled it without battling an eyelid. She is damn lucky for having such a high metabolism rate : ( Guess if I were to follow her diet, I would have been a fatty now : (
What surprised me was that Jacintha could click well with us. Topics were never ending and there was no hint of debate. Outside working hours, she was very different from the kooky girl with weird mannerisms. Well, how I wish Ellen Lee can cease her dislike towards Jacintha and it will definitely be good if all of us can go out together instead of "either Ellen Lee or Jacintha Cheong" schedule.
After a good dinner and chat, we proceeded to watch "881". Good show with a myriad of colorful getai costumes and Hokkien songs. Guess local productions are improving with taste : ) Kudos to Jack Neo, who paved the treacherous path for blooming local directors (like Royston Tan).
Right now, I am looking forward to tomorrow's pre-birthday celebration for Adeline at Melt Restaurant in The Oriental Hotel : ) I believe I am going to have many many snapshots of the happy memories!

Tired...
Just came back from a jog. As usual, felt rejuvenated after sweating off the toxins and fats. Recently have been feeling lethargic; perhaps, it's the beginning of the month, the level of stress hormones is especially high. I hate being in the beginning of the month. Just let me disappear.
> . <
Went Korean for lunch. Though not very enthusiastic about Korean cuisine, went ahead with it since everybody was game with Ellen Lee's suggestion. Ordered spicy minced BBQ chicken, which came with rice and appetizers of ikan billis and kim chi. To prevent awkward silence while eating, I tried to strike a conversation with the rest - I told them that I could never live without rice - I would have withdrawal symptoms if I did not touch a grain of rice for 3 days. It worked, Jojo suggested substituting my beloved rice with bread and I strongly opposed the lame idea. Bread can NEVER substitute rice! Guess I will just wither and just die if I am thrown in some European country. After the substandard lunch, both Adeline and I walked over to the ang ku kueh shop to buy its specialty for the rest. After tasting the Q Q skin and the generous amount of peanut paste of the ang ku kueh, I am hooked (Though I can only stomach not more than one). Back in the office, it was hectic for me - There were phonecalls every now and then; I could hardly breathe. If not for the strong brew of pu-er tea, I would have gone bonkers! The power of good tea!
As for dinner, I walked to Han's and had seafood vermicelli and iced Milo. All by myself. Sometimes, it is good to have some time to do self-reflection...Called Jacintha to find out if she would be joining both Adeline and Gabrielle (Her bestie) and me to Timbre and yes, she would be going. Guess it would be good if we go out with her occasionally (when Ellen Lee doesn't join us). Anyway, I am very happy that Thursday is a public holiday! I have planned to sleep in!

Mild Hangover
Woke up feeling very dehydrated and lethargic. Felt like snagging an MC to snooze at home, but the thought of the endless interviews for the day made me crawl out of my cozy nest (> . < )#
Quickly popped a royal jelly capsule, drank my honey water and went to have a quick shower. When I came out of the bathroom to change into my black workhorse clothes (it was the perfect outfit for the sickening Monday) and comb my hair, I was happy...I did not need to spend 10 minutes to twirl my flyaway hair because I had none! : )
Rushed out of the house earlier because I had to go to the Guan Gong temple to offer incense - It was his birthday and it happened that I am his "god-daughter". Daddy had sworn me to him when I was a kid because he felt that it was good for my well-being. However, I am guilty to say that I hardly offer incense to him; perhaps only once in a blue moon. Frankly speaking, I dare not ask anything from him because I am not very devoted in the first place...Anyway, it didn't hurt to pay respects to him on his big day; after offering incense to him, I quickly walked to the MRT station to catch the train to work.
Went to Movida with Skinny Bones yesterday - He had just signed up for membership and he was entitled a free bottle of champagne on his birthday (You've got it, it was his birthday yesterday) and because the next was a Monday, all his friends rejected him. No choice, despite feeling tired from the earlier hearty lunch of sushi and udon, in addition to Swenson's ice cream, with Aunt and Brother, I agreed to accompany him. It didn't require much effort to make one happy on his birthday eh? Besides, being all alone on one's birthday is a sad thing.
While sipping bubbly and munching oily fries and charred chicken wings, we chat about work, friends and such. It felt good catching up; it had been quite sometime since we had the opportunity to talk. Satisfied being tipsy, we went home.
It was indeed something different on a Sunday night : )

Hair Blues
I am going to J-Salon, as recommended by Adeline, later on. I am too frustrated with the frequent flyaway hair - Guess this present hairstyle is not suitable for me : ( Actually had been to Tommy's about 3 weeks back and I guess it must have been the "regular customer syndrome" - I realized that for most or rather, all, hairstylists, they are not as attentive to regular customers as compared to new ones. It happened to Kevin (My previous hairstylist whom I had patronized for a year) and Tommy.
When I first patronized Kevin, he was very attentive and detailed to what I wanted for my haircut and he did the hair washing and hair blowing for me himself. However, after a couple of times, he chucked the mundane activities to his assistant and what was most frustrating was halfway through snipping my crown of glory, he would shift his attention to another customer (whose hair was also half-way through : ( ) It made me wonder if he knew what he was doing and many a time, after a week, I would have flyaway hair. (I strongly believe flyaway hair would not be present in a good haircut for at least a month). This made me feel that my loyalty towards his art was taken for granted.
Defected to Tommy after good recommendation from Amy. Usually, I am one who is brand-loyal and hardly experiments with other brands. However, after seeing how beautiful Amy's bob was, I decided to go ahead with the new hairstylist. True enough, I was truly impressed by my first hair by him and I was assured that my flyaway problem would be gone forever with his fine art. Unfortunately, sad to say, after a few visits, the "regular customer syndrome" surfaced and it was compounded when Amy complained about his lack of professionalism (Tommy was supposed to correct her awful hairstyle by another hairstylist in the same salon, but he made it worse and it didn't help that her dye job flopped). Felt sick about the whole issue and out from nowhere, Adeline walked into the office with her new straightened bob one fine day and I saw a glimpse of hope.
Disappointed with Tommy and exasperated with the forever flyaway hair, I asked Adeline for her hairstylist's contact. Made an appointment with her via the phone on the spot and right now, I am feeling butterflies in my tummy. I wonder what art would Adeline's hairstylist create on my head. Feeling excited right now...
Anyway, it's time to bathe and rush to the salon!

Allergy
Yes, it's another skin illness. Twice in a month. The first time was eczema - itchy and swollen patches on the cheeks. This time round, itchy and bumpy patches all over my body. I was horrified. What could it be this time round? Have been back from Bintan; so was it the salty seawater, splendid seafood dinners, bathing gel, pool chlorine or the bed? Nobody knows, including the doctor, whom I visited yesterday. His diagnosis was a no-brainer "Allergy". I felt cheated; especially when medication and consultation fees came up to $50. Regardless, it was fortunate that it was nothing serious : ) Believed the rashes would definitely clear in no time with medication : )
This afternoon, immediately after lunch, I popped a tablet for the rashes to clear. Usually I am not one who takes medicine religiously - I would chuck it away because I strongly believe this would assist the immune system to be stronger. However, vanity got the better of me. After some time, I felt so drowsy that the temptation to walk up to Boss and tell him "Tristan, I am not feeling well. I want to take half day leave" was greater than anything else. Then again, it was not worth it; half a day had gone (I was still sober, in a sense). Hence, I decided to endure by ignoring the drowsiness. However, I began to see double and all I wanted was to sleep. Dozed off a few times (Fortunately, I was not caught) : P
At this moment, I am still feeling itchy : ( How horrible. Applied some cream and hope they will go away by tomorrow. Guess the severity was compounded by the seafood dinner at Jumbo yesterday - It was Fat Boy's 34th birthday : ) Thinking back, with all the wonderful dishes, guess the itch is worth it - I just have to tolerate it for another few more days : P
Drunken prawns - Fantastic!
Steamed sea-bass ala Teochew style
The allure of black-peppered crabs
Temptation of the fiery chilli crabs!
Freshly cut fruits on a platter
All food must be accompanied by tonnes of tea! My pH is 7! (Note: Saw the rashes on my neck?)
