Monday Blues...Not!

Woke up at 7:20 am this morning and felt ultra weak - My throat felt dry and cracked up and my head went spinning : ( Decided to snooze for a while more, but by that time I was fully awake, the time was 7:40 am and I reckoned that I would not be in time for work (No point contributing to the petty fine system)

Went to see the doctor and the diagnosis was a viral infection : ( She gave me antibiotics, cough drops, antiseptic cream for my forever-churning-crusts left ear as well as an MC! (Yes, that was the most important - MC!) Left the clinic happily and doggpacked mixed veggie rice for lunch (from the stall which always serves minute portions : ( )

Last Saturday afternoon, both Fat Boy and I went to JB. After having chicken bryani for lunch and a relaxing foot massage at City Square, we proceeded to Jusco Tebrau for some light shopping before having a good seafood dinner (We had chilli crab, sambal kang kong, sambal mussels as well as Canadian oysters!) and going back to City Square to catch "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" I must say that the initial part was boring with all the character introduction and dialogues. The best part was the war scene between the Telemarines and Narnians (As usual : ) ) By the way, Fat Boy was snoozing away after finishing his popcorn during the show. Guess it was too boring for him : /

As for yesterday, King Kong called me at 8 am, saying that he had reached. I jumped out of bed, had a quick shower and met him at 8:30 am (Our meeting time was 8:45 am - He was way too early > : ( ) We drove to Old Airport Road to have wanton noodles and while he was wolfing down the 4 bucks worth of noodles, I couldn't finish even half of my 3 bucks worth of noodles. Guess it was too early for me to eat anything : / Proceeded to Pasir Ris puppy and fish farms and had great fun viewing at the different kinds of puppy breeds. Saw a grey Labrador puppy and thought that she had the most beautiful eyes. Frankly, I was tempted to spring out my Visa card and say "I want her", but on second thoughts, guess having BoyBoy was enough : )

We continued our fun day by going to a baby shower, organized by one of the SPI members, in Woodlands. He was a proud grandfather of a one-month old baby boy and his mother was just 23 years old (I felt so old) After saying our "hi"s and "bye"s, we proceeded to JB (Yes, he had always wanted to go JB for its value-for-money food and Thai massage)

Fortunately, it was smooth traffic. We drove to Jusco Tebrau and realized that it was quite impossible to go in - There were long snakes of queues even at the parking area and we reckoned it would be better if we go to City Square. Along the way, I mentioned to him that it would be nice to have a mug of ice cold A&W root beer on such a hot day. We tried to find our way to the A&W bistro, but to no avail. Undaunted, he wanted to continue hunting down the place, but I was in need to go to the washroom...: ( We were right; it was indeed a right move to go to City Square, where we had our chicken bryani for lunch, massages and movie (We watched "The Orphanage") before heading back to Singapore and I must say traffic was a headache. We spent about an hour on the Causeway : ( (Actually, it was not so bad with his company : ) )

After spending 2 consecutive days in JB, guess I have had enough of the place for the time being...Hahaha...then again, with its value-for-money food, massage and pedicures, who knows?
; )
