Monday Blues (Again!)

Woke up with a heavy head this morning. Was very tempted to continue sleeping, send an SMS to Boss and go to the doctor's for the precious MC - The ticket to a free day at home (Wow!) However, the thought of having to deal with the additional bulk of clients (now that Adeline has left) as well as the farewell party for her later in the evening made me drag myself to the bathroom for an icy-cold shower (Groovy, Baby!)

I did not regret my decision - Absenteeism is at its peak today. 4 of my colleagues are on MC today and I wonder how Boss would react if there were 5 (including me) : P

Last Friday evening was Adeline's last day, after spending about 2 years half with the company. Though sad that we had to part (and frankly, I thought I would cry out loud), I am happy that she is just a phonecall away (that's what she keeps assurring me about : ) ) and I believe we will meet up as much as we can (She is not somebody who forsakes her friends after moving on to the next stage of life) After work, we made our way to Molly Malone's for Sunshine Boy's 24th birthday dinner and drinks : ) Perhaps I was kinda emotional that evening, I must say that I did not really enjoy...(Just followed the flow and ensured that emotions were well-hidden) Went home and slept soundly - Guinness is a good substitute for warm milk before bedtime ; )

As for Saturday, I did not meet up with my university mates for tennis : / Instead, I met up with Fat Boy, Dickie Boi as well as Baby Cousin at her house for mahjong at about 11am : ) However, before going to her house, I was feeling abit unhappy. Earlier on, Fat Boy was at my house and I suggested reading newspapers while waiting for my hair to dry. A car advertisment caught his attention and he began to make numerous phonecalls to the car agent and brother without realizing that it was high time to make a move. Feeling bitter, I sat on the sofa quietly and regretted not meeting up with my university mates (at least I would feel happier) At about 10:30am, I gestured to him about the time and we made our way to Parkway Parade for lunch before going to Mandarin Gardens.

Met up with both Dickie Boi and Baby Cousin and we started our mahjong session. However, we were interuppted by the constant ringing of his mobile phone - The car agent was anxious to close the deal and kept heaping pressure on him. Finally, he said he needed to excuse himself for a while because he wanted to take a look at the car and if possible, close the deal on the spot. Though we shuddered at the idea, we reckoned that it would be pointless for him to remain when his interest was obviously elsewhere. We went ahead with our 3-man mahjong and had dinner ourselves. He only came back at 4 hours later (Can you imagine my furor?) Despite numerous apologies, I didn't relent (I didn't know what I should do) Proceeded for a foot rub and Yong He beancurd...(but I was not happy...)

As for yesterday, met up with King Kong for lunch. We had the famous Margaret Drive chicken rice (Yummy!) before heading to Suntec City to repair my phone (The colours on the screen jumbled up) and for my oily massage : P Had Han's for dinner (We had seafood bee hoon topped with vinegar-soaked green chilli!) and watched "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" The best part of the day was having beancurd along Rochor Road. I think cold beancurd taste very nice ; )
