Us, at the cable-car, enjoying the cool air

Our room - used to be Room 13. Eerie.

Penguins at Underwater World. Nice!

Me relaxing at the beach
Time flies - it has been 2 days since I came back from Langkawi. Though I have much complaints about the accomodation and the food, I would still go back if I were to choose all over again. Yes, accomodation was bad. The resort, Green Village Resort, that we were in, was run-down. Both Fat Boy and I frowned when we saw isolated strands of hair on our pillows and the lack of free toiletries in the bathroom : ( Fortunately, there was a water heater and an air-conditioner, otherwise, we would have demanded to shift to another resort. By the way, did I tell you that we could not lock our bedroom door as the catch was damaged? We had difficulties sleeping on our first night : (

Food was not as fantastic as I thought. All along I had the impression that Langkawi was the Hawaii of Asia and that seafood was abundant, god knows it turned out to be otherwise. Seriously, I do not see much seafood around and it was not as happening as I thought out to be : ( On our first night, we had fine-dining Asia cuisine at the Lighthouse and seriously, I did not really enjoy the hot and spicy ikan bakar accompanied by rice and pickles. I thought Samy's Restaurant in Singapore would fare much better.

On our second night, we had BBQ seafood at Mimi's Seafood (What much can you expect just by the name?) We had BBQ stingray, deep-fried calamari, stir-fried kale in oyster sauce, onion omelette, butter prawns as well as tom-yam soup (The seafood ingredients were not fresh) Guess Bangkok would be so much better : (

The only few good and fun things in Langkawi were the cable car ride, Underwater World and Sun Spa. *Sigh* Then again, no regrets. Anything is better than being stuck in the office right?
