It's 2010 and gee, resolutions, resolutions and more resolutions eh? I hope to reach 48kg by the end of this year. Possible? (A rabbit's diet should do the trick eh?) I hope to have thick and black hair that reaches my waist by rhe end of the year (I am using Ba Wang Shampoo range right now!) I hope the hole tucked behind my upper molars doesn't get bigger else I have to get it extracted (Does flossing at the end of every meal help?) What the heck, so many worries, so many things to do. I guess just let Nature take its course. If I have to be a fatty, balding and toothless auntie, be it! (Nahhhh....just joking)
Anyway, it has been a week since I came back from Kuala Lumpur. Nothing much except:
Day 1 (24th December 2009)
After having claypot chicken rice at one of the coffeeshops at Clementi, we set off for Tuas Checkpoint while keeping our fingers real crossed that we would not be caught in a jam (Luckily, traffic was smooth and we sped all the way to Kuala Lumpur) I thought I would snooze on the way, but I didn't. I was looking outside of the window and wondering what my friends would be doing at that point of time and of course, taking a few glances at Fat Boy who was snoring away : )
Day 2 (25th December 2009)
We reached Kuala Lumpur on Christmas and it was chaotic on the streets. Everybody was spraying toxic-looking foam at one another, including passing vehicles. I was so glad that I was in the vehicle then, else I would have to wave goodbye to my face and hair (God knows what these toxins would do!) We stopped at an open-air coffee-shop in front of Hotel Casanova and had stir-fried bee tai mak with seafood and BBQ chicken wings before heading to Tune Hotel for a good night's sleep : )
Day 3 (26th December 2009)
Gathered at the lobby at 9am before having toast and tea for breakfast and checking out. Proceeded to Mid Valley Shopping Centre and was excited by Forever21 (though I did not buy anything : ( ) Had lunch of curry chicken and rice at the famous Madam Kwan's before proceeding to check into Sucasa Serviced Apartments - It feels more like a resort and I was surprised by how clean and nice the interior of our bedrooms : ) After a short, but good nap, we gathered at the lobby at 5pm before heading to Sungei Wang for more shopping and yes, I bought a leopard print jacket for RM99 at Forever21 this time round : D Had dinner at the usual coffee-shop in front of Hotel Casanova and we had stir-fried pig intestines (Do not be alarmed, they taste good!), sambal kang kong, BBQ sting-ray, sambal chu-chu, stir-fried noodles with seafood and so on (I cannot remember...) We also went to buy many packets of titbits and cans of Heineken for a night of games and booze, booze and more booze. We turned in at 2am X (
Day 4 (27th December 2009)
We were supposed to meet up with one of the team-mate's cousins who reside in Kuala Lumpur; they wanted to introduce us the famous Segambut seafood noodles, but just our luck that our vehicle broke down - the engine simply refused to roar : ( Fortunately, it became alive (for a while) after we managed to jump-start it and we wasted no time to drive it to the nearest Hyundai service centre. Just as we thought everything was fine after paying RM30, the vehicle emit smoke after we arrived to meet the cousins - It was really unfit for driving and some of the guys decided to engage in towing services whereas some of us, including Fat Boy and me, hopped into the cousins' car and we went for endless shopping at some unknown boutiques. It was really value-for-money and I got 2 dresses and a top for RM90! Wow wow wow! They also brought us to the famous nasi lemak eatery and it was indeed delicious! We doggy-packed a few packets for those who did not come with us and they agreed that it was yummy. After some washing-up, we headed to the haunted Twin Towers for ouija board experiment (I was in-charge of recording the process, nothing else)
Day 5 (28th December 2009)
Both Fat Boy and I woke up at 9am and after washing up and packing up, we went to have our buffet breakfast at the cafe. We gathered at the lobby with the rest of the guys and we headed to one of the Chinese restaurants in Malacca to have our banquet lunch! For RM480 for a table of 10, we enjoyed cold dish, a whole suckling pig, pomfret hotpot, butter prawns, broccoli with abalone and scallop, braised duck, pork ribs, vegetarian cabbage and yam dessert : ) We headed back to Singapore after a hearty lunch and guess who drove back to Singapore? Fat Boy : S Poor him, he must be so damn envious when he saw us snoozing away. Hahaha...
Looking forward to next Thursday's trip to Bangkok with Adeline, her mother, Claudia and Jackson : ) We must offer incense to the famous 4-faced Buddha and shop at Platinum Mall. It's a must~~ : D
