1 Week To X'mas

Another week has passed. By the way, I met up with Rightie, Amy and Adeline last Wednesday at Watami. Though the food was nothing fantastic, it was pocket-friendly and best of all, I enjoyed the company of the girls tremendously : ) Amy was feeling negative about her wedding in 24 January 2010 and we were trying to find out what caused to have such thoughts and of course, soothed her tired and grouchy soul : ) (Talking helps, you know) I am so relieved that my ordeal is over and though I enjoyed the process tremendously, I seriously wished that we could do away with some of the unfortunate incidents that caused so much unhappiness in the family : S Anyway, really looking forward to attending Amy's wedding banquet at M Hotel (She is known to have creative ideas, I want to see how creative she is this time round ; ) )

Friday was steamboat dinner with Sworn Sista and her husband at Golden Mile Complex. Fat Boy ordered too much food - There were the raw steamboat platter, steamed chicken, satay as well as sweet & sour pork : ( We were struggling to finish the food and to be frank, excess food never makes one satisfied. We proceeded to Xin Wang HK Cafe for drinks before heading for home.

Last Saturday afternoon was having lunch at Sushi Tei in Holland Village with Gramps, Aunt Maddy and Bro. It had been a long time since Gramps stepped out of the house as she was afraid of being a hindrance - she couldn't walk very well and needed support; but after much encouragement, she relented : ) I was so happy to see her enjoying grilled Saba fish with rice : ) We went home to wash up before attending the SPI BBQ at Labrador Park. Though Makan King had hung up his wok (He used to do all the cooking while we did all the eating), we had great fun wolfing down chargrilled lamb chops, sausages, chicken fillets and salad as well as exchanging presents. Both Fat Boy and I got Givenchy face towels and a Cluedo set in return of our Disney mugs : P

Sunday evening was dinner at a nearby coffeeshop with Daddy, Mummy and Bro. We had zi char - steamed prawns in herbal soup, sweet & sour pork, sambal kang kong, roasted chicken, beancurd topped with minced meat, prawn rolls and old cucumber soup with pork : D~ The bill came to about 75 bucks and we went home, feeling satisfied (We will definitely go back again!)

Yesterday, we brought Rex to the vet at Holland Village - It was his 3rd jab and well, everything was fine except that he was a tad tubby : S (That glutton! He needs to lose the excess fat around his tummy) We brought him home and a couple of hours later, he started to get lethargic (The effects of the jab) We tucked him to bed and watched "Together" at MobTV : ) (He's jumping around this morning!)

Another week to X'mas and I am so excited because I am going to Kuala Lumpur on X'mas Eve! It will be a different X'mas this year! : D~~

Happy December!

It's another cold day : / It has been like that for the past weeks : ( Is 2012 coming? Hahaha...anyway, I am down with a stuffy nose (Tough luck eh?) Instead of going to the doctor (I am so damn sick of popping pills - I am popping one everyday for my acne), I have been downing pei pa koa, plain water and chinese tea : / Anyway, I am positive that it will not hinder my December plans - yes, my SPI BBQ and Kuala Lumpur trip! I will make sure I recover soon!

Nothing much these weeks except watching Rex grow from a tiny raw pinky into a confident and active pooch that knows where to pee and poo and how to react when I am displeased or happy : ) He's going to have his last jab next week and he's able to step out of the house : ) Fat Boy is so anxious to have him as a jogging companion (That fella's afraid of loneliness eh?)

Anyway, last Saturday, Fat Boy and I went to Johor Bahru. He had wanted to service his car, but by the time we reached customs, it was already late afternoon, hence he ditched all car-servicing plans. We had lunch at Zu Lin Eatery - we had sambal tapioca leaves, beggar chicken, hotplate oyster egg as well as stewed pork with yam. Though the food is nice, I feel that it's overloaded with MSG (because I got thirsty after a while...) We proceeded to Tebrau Jusco Shoping Centre and guess what, I bought a pair of black Mango jeans for RM99, which is about 44 bucks! Wanted to buy flats, but none caught my eye at Summit. After we combed the shopping mall, we headed to City Square and we bought 2 Disney mugs for the present exchange event for the coming SPI BBQ. We had a quick dinner at Old Town Cafe before going back to Singapore.

I made a visit to the dentist on Sunday as one of my molars was aching (I guess it was rotting to the max) and true enough, after the scary scaling and polishing, the dentist removed my old filling with a drill because I told her it ached and she discovered that my molar had a hole, that explained the whole story : / On a happier note, we had 99-cents-per-plate sushi at Clementi Central and we went to Pet Lovers at Holland Village to purchase Avoderm kribbles for Rex before offering incense at Monkey God Temple in Tiong Bahru.

Gee, my nose is getting stuffier than ever. Guess I am going to drink more water and pei pa koa..I have to be well, because I am meeting Rightie, Adeline and Amy for Watami later on!

A Month Later...

It's about a month since I last updated my blog! Gee! I cannot believe I am so tied up with Rex : ) Good news, both Fat Boy and I have successfully trained him to sit, pee-and-poo as well as come on command. It's so much cleaner to pee and poo in the bathroom than on the tray where bacteria resides. Though it looks easy to get the pooch get busy on command, the groundwork is tedious. I wonder how many manhours both Fat Boy and I took to train him and the amount of resistance we got from Gramps and Aunt Maddy, who did not agree to our style of training (Remember how much they used to pamper Boyboy?) Rex is not allowed on the sofa, the bed and table. His mealtimes are fixed at 7:30am, 6:30pm as well as 12 midnight (There is no such thing as feeding him just because he's ultra cute or super tiny) His butt would be smacked by rolled newspapers if he does anything wrong (This is not cruelty, it's discipline) His toys are what dogs should play - cloth rope, soft toy Elmo (without beads), milky shoe. Caps, carrots (Yes! The hated veggie) and electrical wires are a no-no. Those who defies his lifestyle would incur my wrath and yes, I have explained to Gramps a millionth time that he's eating enough (She's worried that he would be malnourished without knowing that miniature pinschers are supposed to look skinny) I guess to ensure that the pooch is used to the lifestyle that we want him to lead, it may require another month (There was why both Fat Boy and I cancelled our Bangkok getaway scheduled on the 2nd week of December)

By the way, it seems like everybody around starts to get pregnant. Dammit, when I was single and available, everybody started to get married. While I am enjoying my marriage with Fat Boy (with a new pooch), everybody starts to get pregnant. What's next? Frankly speaking, I had no idea whether to laugh or cry when Sworn Sista told me that she was pregnant over a dinner gathering, though I was naturally happy for her. Perhaps it came as a shock to me. One thing for sure is, she's going to lose her identity the moment she pops. She will no longer be herself; she will be somebody's mummy and everything will revolve the kid until he or she turns into a mature adult (Scary eh!) Being pregnant is fun because you have every reason (or excuse) to eat whatever you want and control your hubby to do whatever makes you happy (Yeah, the kid's the remote control) Anyway, I guess just let it come naturally eh? If it comes, it comes, if it doesn't (for now), be it. However, if it doesn't come a couple of years later, I am going to squeeze till something pops out. Hahaha..

Anyway, I guess I need a short break. Trying hard to organize one with Adeline, Sunshine Boy, Claudia and her boyfriend. It's difficult because it seems like everybody has something on their mind, but shy to spell it out till the last minute : / *Sigh* Is it so difficult? What's the worst that happen - the most we cancel the trip so that we can proceed with individual plans, isn't that better? Sunshine Boy is holding back his plans with his army friends for us. I hope the trip will materialize.

Rex

It has been a week since Rex joined the family : ) So far so good, he's eating and sleeping well and he has no problem blending into the family; well, perhaps only for Gramps (She still misses Boyboy very much and she feels that she is betraying him by accepting the newcomer)

Have been spending lotsa time housebreaking Rex. Though troublesome and tedious, it's necessary because I do not want the latter to poo and pee around the place (Yvonne's Cookie does that and she is living in regret now : P ) Both Fat Boy and I have been observing the pup's habits and we worked towards adjusting these habits, like he would poop within 15 minutes after his meal, so we would confine him to the bathroom and only after he does his act, we would praise and give him a piece of kribble as treat (Smart eh?) Of course, there were times he would drive us mad by peeing and pooping at his favourite corners. Arghhh..guess it just takes lotsa patience to train a dog to be good > <"

By the way, my damn ankle has not fully recovered yet, even after 3 visits to Chien Chi Tow and every single session hurts like fuck and sometimes, I wish I could scream vulgarities at the therapist who has no qualms about using all her force on my swollen ankle : ( I am going for my treatment again tomorrow and seriously, I hate that feeling...Arghhhh...!!

Anyway, last Saturday, after my treatment at Chien Chi Tow, I met up with my university mates at Billy Bombers in Cathay for dinner (The food was not fantastic) and coffee at TCC outside Plaza Singapura. It was great to know that one of them is going to get married (Her boyfriend proposed to her last month) : ) Sunday was Rest & Relax day - both Fat Boy and I stayed at home with Rex until dinnertime. We walked to Anchorpoint Foodcourt to have seafood pasta. Simple, but nice weekend : )

                                          Rex is cute eh?

Weekends!

Fat Boy and I will be collecting the new 2-month old puppy from the homebreeder tonight : ) Exciting eh? I wonder how Gramps and Aunt Maddy would react (though I am very sure the latter will morph into an angry orang utan) Why I choose this particular pup from this particular homebreeder is the former is rather stable and calm, unlike his boisterous siblings (I guess hyperactive pooches are not really suitable for me) and he doesn't struggle when you hold him (This is important because if he struggles, it means that he is either withdrawn; not comfortable with strangers or he has been mistreated by his breeder before) As for this particular homebreeder, he's in his early thirties and knows his stuff well. He specializes in breeding miniature pinschers and chihuahuas and has written an article on the former breed. Well, he comes as a relief because after speaking to many dog sellers in Pasir Ris Farmway, knowledgeable ones are far and few and some even quote exhorbitant prices like 3,000 bucks for a toy poodle but have zilch knowledge of its background : S

After viewing and selecting the pooch, we set off to Pet Movers at Pasir Ris Farmway to purchase the necessary stuff, like puppy kribbles, leash, metal bowls and puppy shampoo (Well, I used the 50 bucks which Fat Boy helped to bargain for its stuff. Good deal eh?) We had dinner at Ikea Bistro and the teriyaki chicken rice was fantastic : D We walked around till 10pm and headed home : )

As for Saturday, the beach outing was cancelled due to poor response. I cannot fathom why some friends changed their minds at the 11th hour, especially when the event was created weeks in advance. *Sigh* I guess I wouldn't be keen to organize such outings anymore. It's not as if I stand to gain by doing the dirty job of having to remind each and everyone via text messages : < Fortunately, Adeline and her mummy as well as Sunshine Boy saved the day by having dinner with me and Fat Boy at Bosses in Vivocity : ) We had honeyed pork ribs, spinach in buttered broth, deep fried prawns in wasabi and salted egg sauce, braised chicken in 3 different types of wine, and salted-egg custard buns for dessert! : D~

As Adeline and her mummy had something on after dinner, Sunshine Boy, Fat Boy and I proceeded to Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant for Erdinger : ) It was great to have an ice cold after so long...: ) Seriously, I do look forward to meeting up with my dear friends again : D

By the way, did I tell you I sprained my ankle 2 weeks back and I went for treatment at Chien Chi Tow at Rocher Centre. It was disgustingly painful when the therapist pressed onto the sore spot. I yelled so loud that the other patients could hear me from outside : p My ankle was bandaged for a day before I removed it - Too much inconvenience : /

Saturday & Sunday

Went to Pasir Ris Farmway 2 with Fat Boy yesterday afternoon and was amazed by the myriad of puppy breeds, which the main ones were shih tzu, toy poodle, maltese and Golden Retrievers. These puppies really know how to tug heartstrings with their big eyes and playful behavior. I was so tempted to purchase a black toy poodle on the spot, but was dissuaded by Fat Boy as he felt that we might not cope with its curly fur : (
We went from shop to shop to look at the puppies as well as to gather information. Most of the shops were very run-down and it was a sad sight to see dirty puppies stepping on their own defecate (How to buy these puppies?) It made me wonder if I had stepped into a pet shop or puppy pound : S Some of the shops charge these puppies at exhorbitant prices (Imagine a toy poodle at 3,000 bucks!) I had the initial idea of getting a miniature pinscher, but after looking at these cute puppies, I was in a great dilemma on whether I should purchase a toy poodle, shih tzu or miniature pinscher *Sigh!* They are so cute, active and obedient! Awww....<3

We spent about 4 hours looking at countless of puppies and by the time we stepped out of Farmway 2, it was already 7pm - Time for dinner. Had wanted to have dinner at Scissors Cut Mixed Veggie Rice, but it was closed for renovation. In the end, we doggypacked dinner from ABC Market - I had chicken bryani whereas Fat Boy had seafood Hokkien noodles : D I did a check over the Internet and after weighing the pros and cons, I decided to get a miniature pinscher. I guess I would pop by Farmway 2 one of these days to get that pooch from Pet Movers. A cool 588 bucks. I think it's quite reasonable for a pooch, as compared to 880 bucks for a shih tzu, 1580 bucks for a brown teddy toy poodle, 1800 bucks for a pug and 1200 bucks for a miniature beagle.

As for last Saturday, we had a birthday dinner gathering (It was Godma's 45th birthday) at Joo Heng Restaurant , which served authentic Hokkien cuisine at Joo Chiat. I like the sweet & sour fish, sambal tapioca leaves and deep-fried prawn rolls best amongst the black bean fish head, steamed minced pork, claypot seafood toufu, fried pig liver and kidney and pork ribs with bittergourd : D The price, however, was on the slightly high side. Each person paid about 13 bucks : )

We proceeded to Kallang MacDonald's for cake-cutting after dinner and yes, I was the one who bought the Chocolate Truffle cake from Polar (They have good cakes) We talked about the coming Halloween party at Punggol Community Centre and what to wear for this event (I seriously have no idea what to wear though they suggested Cleopatra's costume due to my hairstyle)

Cool? Bah, I cannot be possibly wearing that!

Fat Fat Week

I've just come back from steamboat dinner at Tan Quee Lan Street with Fat Boy, Sworn Sista and her hubby. Gee, I guess I am getting sick of that particular stall as I couldn't really eat much (Something to do with the soup base?) I had the usual prawns, kangkong, mutton slices and porkballs (Well, that's steamboat) Proceeded to Crystal Jade Hong Kong Cafe and had Chinese tea (to remove the sickening oil from the soup base) as well as a few mouthfuls of aloe vera with osmanthus in honey (Yikes!) I didn't really like the place, so I guess I wouldn't patronize it anymore : /

Last Thursday was the 3rd session of my 535-bucks treatment : ) After the steambath, I was given a good deadsea salt scrub before being wrapped in an electric hot blanket (I really felt like a steamed herbal chicken) for 15 minutes. Just as when I thought I could meet Fat Boy for dinner at Han's, I was ushered into a room where I was told to lie down before gel pads were pasted onto various parts of my body and tiny flows of electric currents streamed into these problematic areas like the arms, thighs and tummy. The feeling was like being thrown into spasm and after 30 minutes, I was amazed that I had lost a few inches and grams(Come on, it's temporary) After the 2 hour session, I dashed out of the centre and met up with my starved Fat Boy. We headed to MacDonald's and had our late dinner : / Guess what? I was so damn shocked to see meat juice that dripped from my plain cheeseburger hardened into wax-like substance after a few minutes. Transfat? I reckon so. I guess I will not be touching so much on fastfood for the rest of my life because you never know what would go into your system after eating these junk. Argh!!

As for last Wednesday, I handed Sworn Sista her belated birthday gift over dinner at Jack's Place in Anchorpoint. Both of us had lobster bisque, medium-rare striploin steak with jacket potato and sauteed onions as sides and a slice of mango cake : D~ I really enjoyed the meal as it had been such a long time since I allowed myself to indulge : D (Who cares about being fat so long as you are happy?) While happily gossipping while strolling along Alexandra Road, I twisted my ankle (Ouch!) I thought it was a minor injury and had wanted to continue walking; but I couldn't and had to limp back home : (

Tuesday was having doggypacked mixed veggie rice at home with Fat Boy. As if my packet of rice with soya sauced chicken wing, stirfried onion egg, cabbage and sambal tapioca leaves was not enough, I had a handful of Jack & Jill potato chips and a few Van Houten chocolate balls while watching TV (Life's great, isn't it?)

Regardless of such hearty appetite, I lost 2kg. How wonderful it is eh? Wahahaha...: D~

Tribute To Boyboy

As much as I hate to admit, yes, my beastie brother has departed Earth on 21 September 2009 at 7:20am. He had been suffering for 2 weeks and it was an ache seeing him purging bloody stools and regurgitating white foamy substance every now and then. From a playful rascal to a tired soul awaiting his Maker...all within 2 weeks..*Sigh* The one who is worse-hit is Gramps, who is stuck in the emotional rut. She is unable to get used to life without Boyboy; he was her constant companion when everyone was out in the day. She is the only one who is able to tolerate his fear for thunder, his habit of sleeping beside her (yes, on the bed), his pickiness in food (he ate only boiled chicken for his meals) and his irritating incessant barking. She would get angry whenever we drew the cane and refused to talk to us if it touched his furry body : /

After coming back at 4am from late-night chit chat at Kallang MacDonald's last Sunday, my heart sank when Bro told me to look at him. His condition had worsened and we were all prepared for the worst. I walked into the room and saw him shivering. Moments later, he started to urinate on the floor. Incontinence. He would usually run to his pee and poo station in the kitchen. He was starting to get wasted. He walked out of the room, jumped onto the sofa and vomitted yellow substance (Bile?) Aunt Maddy quickly woke up and washed the sofa - Everybody was not mad at him because we all knew it was not under his control...we also knew that he might not last till the next morning too.

Fat Boy, Bro and I decided to head straight to the vet early in the morning to perform a scan on him. If he could be saved, we would go all out to do so, otherwise, we would put him to sleep to shorten his suffering. We went back to rest hoping for time to pass quickly so that we could rush to the vet. A couple of hours later, Gramps switched on the lights and started wailing. Both Fat Boy and I jumped out of bed and saw Boyboy lying in a pool of blood, gasping for air (He was dying...) Aunt Maddy rushed out of her room and teared while patting him. I was too stunned for words and remained rooted on the bed. Moments later, he stopped gasping and remained stagnant - He was dead.

Aunt Maddy placed him into a big black plastic bag together with his toys, blankets and snacks and brought it to the rubbish chute near my block. Everybody was emotional, especially Gramps, who could not stop wailing and lamenting why he had to die so young (He just celebrated his 3rd birthday)

As they say, all dogs go to heaven. I hope you do too, yeah? You'll always be my beastie brother, Boyboy.

Rest & More Rest!

Last Saturday was rest and relax day - Fat Boy and I met up with Sworn Sista and her hubby, Stephen, at her place before we went to Wellness Village at Pan Pacific Hotel for a good body scrub and massage! There was a long list of body scrubs (Ginger, Ginseng, Coffee, Chocolate, Rose Petals, Lavender) and massages (Shiatsu, Aromatheraphy, Tui Na, Swedish, Indonesian) to choose from. I had Ginseng body scrub and aromatheraphy : D It had been a long time since my muscles had a good rub and I totally enjoyed the 120 minute session : )

As the boys were hungry, we proceeded to Kiliney Kopitiam at Marina Square to have a bite before strolling around. Sworn Sista suggested going to the ice cream buffet at Swenson's in Ion Orchard as Stephen wanted to try. I didn't like the idea of stuffing myself with sugary carbs (Felt so damn terrible the other time I went), but arghhh...I relented : / This time round, I had only 3 scoops of ice cream with chopped banana and almond flakes (Enough is enough - I was actually craving for savoury stuff) Fat Boy, Sworn Sista and Stephen gorged themselves with ice cream and toppings and seriously, it was bad. Argh.

Before we sent them home, I went to NTUC supermart to purchase a box of salmon gunkan (I guess that is more suitable for dinner to me) Met up with the SPI guys at Kallang MacDonald's to discuss about the plans for the upcoming Kuala Lumpur trip in December before we finally head home : ) (Yeah, we are going to Kuala Lumpur for food and shopping on 24 December!)

We spent the whole of Sunday at home. Even dinner was KFC delivery : P Guess we were simply too lazy to move a single muscle. Hehe...

I accompanied Sworn Sista to London Weight Management for a free consultation-cum-trial on Monday evening. It felt terrible when the consultant pinpointed the problematic jiggly areas and after the hour and a half consultation, we were put into a sauna room where our toxins and water (Yes! Water) were purged. As if it was not enough, we were wrapped by a hot blanket and I tell you, I was nearly suffocated by the intense heat. I swear my heels were crying out in pain! However, I felt refreshed after the trial treatment and the best part was, I lost 800g of water and 8.5cm of flesh/fats. To take up or not to take up the package for 535 bucks? Hmmm...

As for yesterday, both Fat Boy and I went to have dinner at one of the hawker centres in Johor Bahru. We had chilli crab, stir-fried kale as well as fried shrimp paste chicken. The bill amounted to RM95, which was about 40 bucks in Singapore dollars (Cheap!) We strolled around Jusco Tebrau and had drinks at Tang Shifu , a small eatery which specializes in herbal dishes : ) I had a pot of tea which was said to encourage detoxification and fat-burning (True enough, the tea did its magic this morning). Fat Boy had Gui Ling Gao jelly with mochi : ) I was thinking of having dinner at this herbal eatery tomorrow! I am attracted by the herbal black chicken soup ; D~~

1st Month

Exactly a month since I am officially Mrs Ee, exactly a month (and going) which every single day is immersed in marital bliss and exactly a month which every night we enjoyed our pillow-talk before bedtime : D (I love this feeling very much. Can it go on and on and on...?)

Last Thursday, I met up with Sworn Sista at Ikea for dinner. Though I did not fancy the fried rice with a piece of fried chicken thigh, otah and fishcake, it was more of the company; It had been a long time since the 2 of us spend time together and indeed, there were lotsa stuff, mainly revolving our families, to catch up : ) We took a slow walk to her home before I walked back (It can be quite liberating to have your me-time once in a while)

As for last Friday, both Fat Boy and I went to City Square in Johor Bahru to fix our crowns of glory - He, for a trim and I, for hair rebonding. I seriously couldn't stand my messy mane. Argh! Anyway, we walked out of the salon happily before heading for dinner at Old Town Cafe and yes, I had my usual Ipoh hor fan with extra beansprouts and a hard-boiled egg accompanied with a glass of refreshing iced lemon tea : D~ Had wanted to catch "The Orphan", but the timings were either too early or too late, hence, we decided to forego the movie and go back to Singapore to watch MioTV : P

Did I tell you why I feel so fat recently? Last Saturday, I, together with the SPI members as well as Adeline, Berline and PF, went to the ice cream buffet at Ion Orchard. In addition to 6 scoops of ice cream (4 scoops of yummy raisin, 1 scoop of green tea and 1 scoop of chendol) with lotsa chocolate sauce, strawberry and blueberry puree as well as almond flakes and chopped nuts, I also had a bowl of canned peaches and lychees with a dollop of red bean mash : O (Isn't that scary enough?!) After everybody had their fill, we proceeded to Merlion Park via One Fullerton (It's always good to burn off those calories!) and took some pictures before having spicy steamboat for dinner : P~ (As usual, I wolfed down prawns, mutton and pork) As if it was not enough, our last program of the night was hanging out at Kallang MacDonald's. I drank cups of sugarless tea hoping that it would remove the sickening oil from the spicy steamboat >: (

Sunday was a day of recuperating - The only time Fat Boy and I woke up was to watch some TV and get ready for dinner at some eatery in Bedok. Due to promotion, a big claypot of curry fishhead, fried tofu with green mango strips and claypot herbal chicken cost less than 30 bucks. Wow wow wow! As the night was still young, we went to the food fair at Expo (it was an utter disappointment) and Loyang Tua Pek Kong temple to offer incense before we headed home : )

Time

Times flies - It's about 3 weeks since 1 August 2009. Well, I do get withdrawal symptoms; it's like I was so damn busy preparing for the wedding and all of a sudden, the whole hoo-ha of preparing for the bethrothal gifts, wedding photoshoots, gown selection and guestlists vanished after the event. Nevertheless, I am so glad that everything went well : )

Not much activity in my life except chasing the drama serial of "Heroes & Legends 2" on MobTV and yesterday - Both Fat Boy and I went to Little India to have chicken bryani at Tekka Market before purchasing a clay figurine of Ganesha. Yup, his birthday is on this Sunday, so what I am going to do is to place it with my existing Ganesha idol for 3 days before dropping it into any river.

Just spoke to one my guy friends whose wife just gave birth to a baby girl. He mentioned that the baby girl had heart problems and had already undergone an operation on her 4th month. The surgery left a scar on her chest and both parents were wondering if they should send her for another operation to remove the scar as they were concerned it might have a negative impact on her when she grew up. Nevertheless, they spent over 30K on the operation (Oh my God!) and I am wondering how they are going to give the best to her at this moment...

Talking about babies, I tried http://www.morphthing.com/ and came up with how Baby Ee would look like in the future ; ) He/she looked so damn adorable and I couldn't help but go ga-ga over the curly hair and the big round eyes. I think he/she looked more like Fat Boy : D

Gee, I am going to Camp Christine, which is organized by SPI, tomorrow. It will be an overnight event and I am so damn looking forward to it. Angie will be going too (Well, I just asked her for fun and I didn't know she was so enthusiastic about it!) Will share more when I come back and hey, not to forget the steamboat dinner gathering at Tan Quee Lan Street this evening! I am so happy to see Rightie and Adeline again!
: D

Tired

These 2 weeks have been ultra tiring for me X ( Yes, the long-awaited wedding is finally over and special thanks to the wonderful brothers and sistas like Rightie, Adeline, Amy, Jan Jan, Yvonne, Wisely, Yellobie, Dickie Boi, Sunshine Boy and Kevin. Fortunately, the National Day Preview is not much of an issue to the wedding dinner, except for Gramps who walked miles to My Humble House. Sorry Gramps!

By the way, my face condition did not get any better on the actual day, despite slapping tons of steroid cream on it : / Fortunately, there was Ben, the makeup artist who managed to use his magic to conceal all the dark patches and make me look glamorous that day : ) Though his fee is slightly higher than the market rate, I guess it's worth it : )

Arghhh...I just came back from Penang yesterday. It was so damn freaking tiring being on the road for about 12 hours...Nevertheless, I had great fun visiting the reowned Snake Temple and Gek Lok Si, the authentic Khoo Clan Mansion as well as tasting the thick and aromatic Teochew chendol, BBQ chicken wings as well as the sourish Penang laksa! Though I have not calculated how much was spent on the trip, I reckoned it would not exceed 250 bucks because the 3-day hotel stay at Tune Hotel was 50 bucks and I did not do much shopping there as big and modern shopping malls are far and few : P The bad thing about road trips is that you have to deal with the horrible traffic jams that can last for as long as 2 hours! I guess this is the last time I am going for a long road trip - The furthest I can go is Kuala Lumpur : / Gee, I am still feeling lethargic. Guess I am going to have an early night, but not before I finished my drama serial : D

Touched

The Hen's night is finally over, after much anticipation and careful planning by the girls. I want to thank all the beautiful girls who attended the last night of my wild singlehood. I admit I was so damn smashed that night, but I had great fun at Waraku, Supperclub as well as Double O : ) Thanks alot, girls, I love you! *Muaks*

Well, I have collected my wedding gowns for the actual day last Wednesday. You may think that it's too early, but you'll never know what you will (or will not) get if it's too near the actual day : ) I am so excited seeing those beautiful gowns hanging from my false ceiling. I wonder how I will look on that day. Hahaha...

As both Fat Boy and I were worried that Boyboy might sneak into our room and damage the gowns (by peeing, licking or whatever), we thought that it would be better to hang those gowns at Daddy's place in Jurong West.

It felt comforting to know that the doors at Jurong West are always open for me, though Daddy and Mummy are fully aware that I prefer to stay with Gramps anytime. I felt touched when I saw betrothal gifts like bedsheet covers, blankets and jewellery box placed nicely on the table (Yes, they were bought specially for me) Daddy also mentioned that Mummy had prepared to give me some of her beloved jewellery as part of the betrothal gift. Besides this, she had bought a spaghetti dress with a scarf for this event...

An act of love? Since young, I always have this notion that Mummy doesn't love me. It doesn't help that Gramps and her are not on good terms and I have always stood by the former since she is the one taking care of me all these while. I was extremely touched and traumatized when she started pushing her beloved gold jewellery to me. It's like I have never really treated her well, or sometimes with the utmost basic respect, why does she still treat me so well? (Yes, it's love)

My dislike towards her, which has accumulated since young, has dissolved. I will love and treat her well from now on : ) No wonder it is said that brides who are going to get married always have pleasant discoveries and surprises (yeah, no shocks, please) before their big day. Gift from Heaven? Perhaps.

Another 8 more days before the big day. I am so damn anxious about the right side of my face. I hope it will heal soon! *Fingers crossed*!

My Best Friends - Antibiotics & Steriod Cream

After peering into the mirror million of times and finally came to terms that my face was a wreck, I headed to my favourite doctor, Doc Tan - A man in his mid-thirties with a subtle sense of humor (Oh well, I am not embarrassed to admit that he has seen every inch of me, including my ear drums) Aunt Helen's art piece was diagnosed as acne. I was given a month's supply of antibiotics and steroid cream : / I felt a sense of assurance that I was going to be fine on my big day (...by hook or by crook...)

Dinner was at My Humble House. Oh yes, second round of foodtasting - I had made negative comments about some dishes previously and well, they threw in the second round to ensure everything is satisfactory to my palate : ) I prefer the grilled pork ribs drenched in champagne sauce to the smokey BBQ grilled pork ribs and bai ling mushrooms (its texture is that of abalone's) to spinach drizzled beancurd. Though I wanted the steamed cod fish with ginger sauce from the first round of foodtasting, Fat Boy and Gramps veto-ed my choice. Grilled cod fish with green pepper sauce will be served on that day (Booo....) Talking about My Humble House, I am so worried how the guests will be coming, especially the elderly. It is confirmed that there is full road closure on that day : /

As for last Saturday, both Fat Boy and I had dinner with Jan Jan and Match at Ichiban in Suntec City before heading to KBox for a 6-hour crooning session! Sunday was spent resting and relaxing (Nah!) at home. Correction: I did spend hours watching movies on MioTV, I did also spend hours clearing up my room~I realized I had stashed lotsa junk at various corners; can you imagine there are 4 big bags of clothes awaiting to be donated to the Salvation Army? ; P

Face Woes

I must admit that the 234 bucks of Huet Biologie did work wonders....on certain parts of my face. I was quite satisfied with the results - My face indeed look much clearer and fairer, but it also caused major eruptions (When I say major, it really means major) There were big angry-looking pimples sitting on my forehead and the right side of my face (Yeah, not again!) Feeling pissed, I made a trip to Aunt Helen's and it was quite a fruitful facial session - The clogged pores were more or less cleared, but what made me unhappy was the temporary scars from the squeezing and digging : ( My face looks like I just lost a catfight : (

What the fuck....my big day's just 3 weeks away and these untimely pimples have to appear out from nowhere just when I need (desperately) to look at my best? *Sigh* Fat Boy suggested that I go to the doctor to get some anti-biotics as some of his girl pals had the same problem before their big day too. I am seriously contemplating whether I should go to the doctor because I do not want to move from a frying pan to another. What happens if there are side effects, like weight gain? Dammit. But if I do not take the anti-biotics, will new pimples pop up?

I have been thinking why the sudden pimple eruption. I blame the photoshoot session - I should have known it and taken action (like buying new foundation sponge and brushes) I didn't and let the bacteria from the dirty-looking sponges and brushes destruct my flawless complexion (All my religious intake of collagen has gone to waste!) I shouldn't have used the bloody Shu Umuera Balancing Oil too..knowing that I should never touch oil-based products. So what if it works for others...? (Damn!) I am not sure if my heavy intake of prawns and durians has any impact on the face too, but I am not going to restrict myself (I hope I can)...

I am very comforted to know that I have good friends around me, mainly Rightie, Amy, Adeline and Jan Jan : ) I can feel their enthusiasm for my wedding and next Saturday's hen's night. Seriously, after knowing that they have to follow me to-and-fro Jurong West, Yishun and Stirling Road, I really feel bad - It's going to be a tired affair and they are doing it for me : / I must make sure I will go all out to help them when their turn comes : )

Oh, by the way, Fat Boy has bought the wardrobe, a mirror and a dark brown plank (as my dressing table) from Ikea. As I have zero creativity, I leave it to him : ) I am going to do up my hair this coming Wednesday. I guess I should adhere to a liquid diet a week before the actual day so as to look my best : P What are the remaining things to do? I have yet to buy a pair of black trousers for Brother, Mum has not bought blanket for me, Fat Boy's mother has not bought me the 4 pieces of jewellery...I guess I really have lotsa things to do. No wonder I found a strand of white hair just now and guess stress does play a part in wreaking havoc to my face too. I must learn to breathe in and out....relax.

Vitamin C

Out of desperation after seeing the darn face, I burned 238 bucks on that Huet Biologie 21-day Vitamin C treatment. 3 tiny bottles in a box and I have to use up 1 bottle for 7 days before popping the 2nd bottle and so on. I think my complexion has improved quite abit, albeit 3 zits on the right side of my face : / Well, I will have to see how it goes and of course, pray hard for a miracle to happen - Is it so damn difficult to achieve crystal clear complexion? : (

It was a tiring day for me yesterday - It was burnt on visiting our relatives (Oh yes, his and mine) Mine was a breeze - We met up with the eldest son of my Gramp's brother at his place and all I did was hand him empty wedding invitation cards and got the guest headcount in return (Viola!) We proceeded to Fat Boy's relatives and it was a nightmare. First of all, his parents did not really keep in touch with the latter and the worst thing was, they did not have the addresses of these people : o So it was purely wild goose chase. Can you imagine walking round the block to look for that particular unit? (Fainted) As if it was not bad enough, my head ached from the continuous squabbling between his parents. Exchanges of cutting remarks circulated in the car and my head ached more than ever > . <" Ultimately, miracles do happen - we managed to find his relatives and handed them the wedding invitation cards (Whether they turn up or not remains as a big question mark)

I think the best thing about yesterday was dinner at Toa Payoh Industrial Park - We had chilli Sri Lanka crabs, stir-fried kale in garlic and coffee pork ribs before sending his parents home.

As for last Friday, it was steamboat dinner at Liang Seah Street with the SPI guys before heading to "Transformers" at Marina Square : ) I thought I would doze off during the show, but I didn't : D

Last Week...

Gee, after peering into the mirror thousands and millions of times, I realized that my poor face need immediate help and I finally succumbed to Aunt Helen's Huet Biologie Vitamin C treatment. I went to her salon last Tuesday and found out that she had gone for her church camp and would only be back tomorrow (How unlucky can I be!) Though my face has kinda improved, I guess it will be too late for bloody porcelain complexion on that big day. Damn!

On a happier note, Fat Boy and I went down to Ubi to collect our 100 pieces of wedding invitation cards last Thursday : > We were so damn happy to see our names on the inserts (You wouldn't feel the ectascy until you get your own wedding card!) We met up with Sworn Sista and her husband for dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe and it was good to catch up (yes, though I wasn't too happy with her...) and without realizing, we ended the session at 1am. I was ultra tired and did not bother to wash my hair before I slept : P (Will that cause my face to rot faster?)

As for Friday evening, it was bak kut teh and soursop juice for dinner before proceeding to Ikea (not again!) to hunt for the dressing table and wardobe. Arghhh..I hate hunting for furniture! Saturday was a fun-filled day as we met up with the SPI guys and Sunshine Boy for badminton at Revenue House. Though I don't really like sweaty sports, I enjoyed the session very much : D After washing up, we headed to Toa Payoh Industrial Park for dinner - Chilli Sri Lankan crab, coffee pork ribs, fried fish, spinach in scallop gravy, claypot noodles, followed by dessert of chopped white fungus and water chestnut in soya bean milk. The night ended at 2am, after "Drag Me To Hell" at Vivocity.

Sunday was a day of relaxing at home and it was good to have Aunt Linda and Mingkai to visit us : ) As for dinner, it was steamboat dinner with Aunt Maddy at Golden Mile before driving to Geylang to pack 15-bucks-for-6-durians. Though it was deliriously delicious, my body couldn't help but felt heaty throughout the whole night. I guess it's time to stop eating durians for the time being until 4 July - Yeah, I am going for durian buffet in Johor Bahru~~

One Month & A Half

Another month and a half before the big day! What have I done for preparations..? Well, I have been chasing the female Chinese national who is responsible for the printing of my 100 pieces of wedding invitation cards. To be frank, it should be the restaurant manager who should be liaising with her and not me, but apparently, I am doing the dirty job. As if it was not bad enough, there were some issues over the map - I wanted one in every wedding invitation, but she told us in a slipshod attitude that it was not her responsibility. In addition, every golden string that comes with the wedding invitation card costs 10 cents (Argh!) After engaging in a couple of email wars, I finally got what I wanted and well, if nothing goes wrong, I should be getting my 100 pieces of wedding invitation cards by this week and yes, I have to pay 10 bucks for some freaking golden strings~

Though I had chosen my wedding photographs and layout of the wedding album, the bridal boutique could never got our wedding portrait right - Fat Boy's teeth looked like a dracula's (They were too big and too white!) and they finally got it right after 3 attempts ; / I am going to choose my wedding and evening gown next Tuesday and I hope they can get the right ones for me. I heard of many horror stories from friends who had been through the ordeal and I guess I am going to make sure I will not be a victim!

As for furniture, both Fat Boy and I went to the Sea Horse Superstore at Compass Point to check out the mattress and bed frame. We walked out of the store as happy customers though we were 1500 bucks poorer : D I am so damn looking forward to sleeping on my new Diamond mattress! The next items that we will be looking at are a wardrobe and a dressing table : ) Arghhhh...I prefer to shop for clothes than pieces of wood : P

I must also make sure that I drop another 5kg and of course, to unclog that bloody clogged face, so as to look my best on that day! Wish me all the best!!

27 Years & 1 Day Old

Oh yes, I can feel my porcelain complexion coming back - I went to Aunt Helen's for facial just now and as usual, it was a painful process. Imagine heading straight and digging into every single clogged pore and extracting yellowish gunk (I believe it was a mixture of blood and dirt though I refused to see none of it). I guess my pain tolerance has progressed to the next level, but of course, there were times of crying out loud when she performed her art on my forehead (Duh! Masses of veins are found there) Nevertheless, it's all worthwhile so long as I can get my procelain skin back!

After my painful session, Fat Boy, who also had facial (but at FIL, to have his millia removed), brought me to Nihon Musa, a Japanese bistro that sells all kinds of sushi at 99 cents each, at The Cathay. I like the Pick-What-You-Want-As-We-Do-Not-Serve-You concept and it is quite value-for-money; our bill came to about 17 bucks for a pot of green tea, fried tofu, miso soup and countless plates of sushi? I guess the next outing with either Sunshine Boy and the gang or the SPI peeps will be there ; )

It's a week and a day after my 27th birthday. I would like to thank everybody for their well-wishes and gifts. Lest you guys want to know who bought me what, let me share with you : )

Fat Boy - A bouquet of 50 dollar note wrapped Ferrero Rochers. There were 12 50 dollar notes in all : )
Aunt Maddy - Jack's Place Mango Cake. I love it though I cannot eat too much ; )
Gramps, Daddy & Mummy - Red packets and yes, I have not opened them.
Rightie - A Topshop bikini. I will definitely wear it to the next beach outing alright? Organize one quickly!
Sunshine Boy & Yam Gal - Thanks for the Bodyshop Energy Bag! I simply love the scent of lemongrass : D
Claudia - A pair of faux jean tights. Um, I really have no idea how to wear it : /
University Mates - Thanks for the Sushi Tei treat and Mrs.Field's choc chip brownie! I had my fill last Saturday : )
SPI peeps - Thanks for the wonderful surprise, birthday cake, beautiful tarot pouch, necklace, mobile phone accessory and chocolates from Chocolate Factory!

With so many good loved ones celebrating my birthday, I feel so blessed and loved. Thank you everybody!

Happy Birthday

Today is my 27th birthday! Received many well-wishers from all walks of friends. I feel blessed and loved to have so many good friends around me : ) Guess when one gets older, birthday parties and presents no longer matter, just like age. What's most important is good company round the dining table : )

My birthday present from Fat Boy is a pair of Grasshopper concert tickets, which we had watched 2 weeks back. It was unfortunate that I couldn't choose hair rebonding as it doesn't make sense - Imagine the makeup artiste creating waves on ironed hair? Arghhh...double, triple damage to both the pocket and scalp : o

While I was happily replying to well-wishers, I saw Baby Cousin's email which was titled "Happy Birthday". As usual, tears started to well up and fortunately, I managed to hold back : )

Hey gal,

Love

Last Thursday evening, I met up with Rightie and Adeline at Sushi Tei for dinner : ) It was great to see the both of them again and nothing could be more interesting than sharing and updating one another with juicy gossips : D My birthday present from them was a string bikini from Topshop. Though I do not really fancy it, I appreciate their kind thoughts : ) I will definitely wear it when we go for beach outing alright, Rightie? : P

As for Friday evening, after Fat Boy met up with his client at the latter's terrace house, which ended at 7:30pm, we were starved and tired (I stayed in the car for an hour) Just as I thought he would bring me to Jumbo for a splendid pre-birthday dinner, he drove me to Pasir Ris Park. Though I was disappointed that I would not have my chilli crab and yam-wrapped scallops, I was very curious to find out what was up his sleeve. He led me to Beach Culture (Oh yes, my jaws dropped as I was not keen in Western food) However, the moment we stepped into the Western bistro, there was a loud roar of the "Happy Birthday" song by a big group of people. My knee-jerk thought was I wouldn't want to dine in such a noisy atmosphere, but hey, I realized it was the SPI guys! I was so shocked to see them that my jaws literally dropped. Fat Boy pulled me to my seat and I rained punches on him - My Godpa secretly liaised with him for this surprise party and he did not even breathe a single word! Argh!

I had a great time with them and yes, the second surprise came in the form of a birthday cake, after I finished my steak (Hmmm....no more surprises, um, shocks, please) I was quite touched by their presence and presents - A stalk of sunflower, a mobile phone accessory, a star pendant, chocolates, tattoo stickers and a beautiful pouch : ) Too bad we would be having the NUS Museum trail, else we would have stayed out later : /

I am so blessed to have so many people loving me...! Thanks alot, guys, I love you too!

Like A Gentle Stream

Hehehe, I am enjoying some me-time at home right now. Fat Boy is not around because he has an appointment with his client : ) Dinner was mixed veggie rice (I had stir-fried kale and cabbage as well as curry chicken) and dessert was canned peach halves! : D

Nothing much except for last Monday when I met up with Sunshine Boy, Yam Gal, Isaac, Emcee and her boyfriend for a simple dinner and some beers at Golden Shoe Food Court. We talked about my marriage preparations, things that happened in that freaking hellhole (Oh yeah, problems are neverending) and so on. Too bad it was a Monday, else we would have yakked till the next morning...

As for Saturday, it was my grandfather's death anniversary. The moment I stepped out of my room, I saw a stranger sitting next to my Gramps. Yes, she was supposedly my godsister due to Daddy's superstitious beliefs : / (It is just not right forcing me to accept a stranger without prior approval) Anyway, I told him straight that I did not and would not acknowledge her. What was supposed to be a happy event became a moody affair (to me) I could not accept it when she offered incense to my late grandfather (Who the fuck!) I refused to eat at the same dinner table as her - How well can you cope if your daddy picks food for his other daughter? Even when they were ready to leave, I could not bring myself to say "byebye". What a bloody eyesore and yes, I am terribly mad at that father of mine as well. Instead of spending more time with his own children, why even bother roping a stranger into the entourage? That is absolutely unnecessary! Two's a company, three's a bloody fucking crowd (Get that girl out before I morp into a evil monster)

Later in the evening, Fat Boy and I attended Grasshoppers' concert at the Indoor Stadium. I feel that the tickets were worth it as the Grasshoppers performed an avalanche of fast numbers and dance moves. Best of all, it was a 3-hour event, how do you not considered it as worthwhile? I am so damn in love with Remus Choi, who never failed to make my heart pump faster every single time he flirted with the audience...(His bod is so damn hot!) Gee, guess I am going to have nosebleed tonight man...

1st Week of May

Oh yes, 2 new air-conditioners have been installed last Thursday : ) Though it's always healthier to sleep in natural air settings, it's also good to indulge in 18 degrees slumberland once in a while. I used to turn on the air-conditioner every night before I sleep and I discovered that my face was very dry. In addition to that, I would get occasional aches (Guess the chill ate into the bones?) I am seriously very envious of Aunt Linda whose bedroom faces East Coast Park and she gets to have all the fresh air in the world (Nevermind that her furniture spoils faster) When will I have the chance to live in great places like Mandarin Gardens?

On Thursday night itself, both Fat Boy and I went to the hawker centre at Old Airport Road to meet up with Match and Jan Jan for a late dinner. It was a refreshing change for me as I had chee cheong fun (my fav!), fried carrot cake, oyster omelette and satay : ) (I hardly have these for dinner as I usually stick to rice) We proceeded to Kallang MacDonald's to catch up with the rest of the SPI guys and we spoke about my wedding preparations and the Penang roadtrip in August : D We left at about 2am and by the time we washed up and retired, it was about 3am.

We woke up bright and cheery on Friday morning. After washing up, we headed to Mount Faber Safra to meet up with Yam Gal, Isaac and Sunshine Boy for a 2-hour badminton session. At the end of the intense workout, my muscles ached badly : ( I was consoled by a good and hearty chicken rice lunch at Margaret Drive followed by a good nap : D Went to Fat Boy's ex-colleague's wedding banquet at Holiday Inn Atrium in the evening and I was bored to tears during reception (I was like a vase standing next to Fat Boy who was so happy meeting up with his ex-colleagues) Dinner started at 9pm (Gasp!) and the food was surprisingly good. However, it was just like any other wedding and we left the hotel at 11pm for Vivocity to catch "Origins of X-men: Wolverine" with the SPI guys (Yes, we met again : P )

We spent the whole of Saturday afternoon snoozing away before heading to the hawker centre at Old Airport Road to purchase durian cream puffs for Fat Boy's mother (It was her lunar birthday) Met up with her and his family members at Jumbo Restaurant where we indulged in cholestrol-high chilli and black pepper crabs, herbal prawns, yam-wrapped scallop, fried chicken, oyster omelette followed by durian cream puffs and mango cake : O Fat Boy sent them home before meeting the SPI guys (again!) at Tong Shui Cafe in Bugis : D Well, due to the hot weather, I had an ice cold Heineken while the rest had the usual big pot teas. We left the cafe at about 3am and boy, we were so shagged that Sunday was spent at home slacking.

Ooh, by the way, did I tell you that I went to Aunt Helen's last Tuesday and she had a hard time digging those zits out from my pores? It was really painful and I seriously didn't know that my condition was so damn bad :~( She advised me to go back to her in a week's time to continue with the painful treatment and boy, I am still thinking about it. It's not only about the pain, it's also about the exhorbitant 80 bucks price tag per session! I could have bought 2 pots of Body Shop's mineral loose powder : (

Wedding Blues

Nothing much for the week except for last Saturday afternoon. After Fat Boy came back from his appointment, we went to Natural Cool at Tai Seng Drive to shop for air-conditioners - Gramps had been complaining about the existing air conditioner which went into occasional bonkers mode and as one who is tremendously phobic of heat, Fat Boy suggested we buy an air conditioner for her as soon as possible. We were lucky; Natural Cool had a good deal for Panasonic inverter air conditioners and he bought them on the spot. Installation will be this coming Thursday : )

We met up with his family to have dinner at Tampopo, a Japanese restaurant at Liang court (His mum won the 1st prize for 1809, our actual date) and to be frank, the prices were exhorbitant! If not for the 50% discount card, the bill would have hit 200 bucks (Fortunately, I am not the one who picked the tab : P ) We left for Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura to meet up with the SPI guys for coffee and parted ways at 12 midnight (I was too tired to go anywhere else)

As for yesterday morning, we headed to Printemps for our wedding photo selection. It was really a headache to choose 30 out of so many pictures : / However, despite being bombarded with photo packages by the wedding coordinator, we were unfazed. We selected our 30 pictures and album cover design for the wedding album, and pictures for the tabletop and wall potraits. It was a great relief to step out of the bridal studio after 3 hours and we headed to Reds (That vainpot wanted a haircut) before going for an early dinner at the hawker centre in Sentosa. We had the usual Stout pork ribs, sambal tapioca leaves, onion omelette and wine prawns and guess the bill? 52RM ; )

While I am typing away right now, Fat Boy, who is sitting beside me, is having a big headache over the guest list - who to invite and who not to invite? Both my dad and his mum have not submitted their respective guest lists to us and seriously, I have no idea how to continue from here ; / It's really a big headache! Arghhh! Oh, I have yet to shop for my bed and wardrobe too (though I know I want the pocket mattress from Seahorse!) I think he must be thinking I am slacking too much...Another 2 months to go before my big day. I know there are many unfinished business, but I am just too lazy to get the engine roaring. Arghhhhhh....

The Weekends

Today was a relaxing day for me - Had a good nap after a good and hearty lunch of mixed veggie rice; and woke up to watch some TV and had a light dinner of porridge
: D

Yesterday was activity-packed - I met Rightie and her colleagues for lunch at Food Republic in Wisma Atria before walking around Orchard Road to search for the perfect emerald-cut proposal ring. We searched high and low for it in Aspial, Lee Hwa and Citigem, but to no avail. The cut was either too expensive (16K, baby!) or that the accompanying settings were either too plain or too complicated. It was really tedious to walk under the blaring sun (I could feel my mineral makeup melting and my legs laughing) Just as we were about to give up the search, we decided to give our last shot in the Delphi and boy, we found the perfect proposal ring at Fairy Incorporation, where they churn out customized rings according to the likes and characteristics of the recepient. This concept is rather interesting because you get to choose the diamond's cut and design the settings. The only downside is the price tag. It's common knowledge that customized stuff are usually more expensive. I did not like the idea that I am buying an expensive stuff like a diamond ring from an unheard brand...(Yeah, call me anal)

Both Rightie and I proceeded to meet up with Adeline in front of Raffles Hotel before we went to have dinner at an authentic Thai eatery in Purvis Street. It was a good dinner - We had pandan chicken, pineapple rice, fried kale, black peppered squid and seafood tom yam soup accompanied by refreshing coconut and lime juice : D Rightie's boyfriend, Eric, met up with us after we finished our dinner and after he had finished his crabmeat fried rice and pandan chicken, we parted ways and both Adeline and I headed to Raffles City. After strolling around, we decided to hang around in O Cha Cha and sip macha-laced drinks : ) It was really great to catch up with Adeline after a long time. If not for time limitations, we could have done more catching-up. Well, I just have to wait till 8 May after she finished her exams ; )

We walked to the bus-stop in front of Esplanade where I took Bus 195 to Clarke Quay. I met up with both Match and Jan Jan at TCC and we spoke about the coming Paranormal Annual General Meeting that was to be held this Thursday evening. Fat Boy joined us after his work and we stayed till 1am before we went home. Oh, I had macha soya latte (Antioxidants and soya protein are good for me!)

Some Thoughts

It sucks to know that all the efforts of maintaining that clear face go down the drain just after one freaking photography session! Despite a visit to Aunt Helen's last Tuesday, recovery is not as speedy as I thought : ( Despite digging out the freaking yellowish zits, I had lost that radiant blemish-free complexion that I had months back : ( (What the fuck!) It doesn't help that that time of the month is approaching - I think I had better just hide at home : /

Oh yeah, today is a good day - I had my DIY teatree oil facial (I am not going to let my skin die on me) and a good dinner with Aunt Maddy and Fat Boy at Sushi Tei in Vivocity : ) We had oyako-don, yasai tempura, avocado maki, sashimi salad and handrolls. Dessert was matcha ice cream topped with red beans and yuzu sorbet : P~ We strolled around the huge mall before heading home.

Met up with Sworn Sista in Sakae Sushi at Tiong Bahru Plaza last Tuesday. It had been quite sometime since we met for dinner. We spoke about my upcoming wedding, her husband's problems at work and her mother-in-law's marriage crisis. As there was seriously nothing much to stroll around in Tiong Bahru Plaza, I suggested popping by her house and say "hi" to her mom : ) Stayed till around 10pm and walked to the bus-stop (Fat Boy was working till late that night, hence I had to go home myself)

As for last Sunday, my family and I went tombsweeping at Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Brown cemetery. Though it was quite tedious standing under the hot sun and not to mention testing one's dexterity climbing over numerous tombstones, there was not a single word of complaint. We were fully aware that it was just a once a year event and everything we did was for the good of our dearly-missed departed. The best part of the day was standing around Daddy's lorry while tucking into deliriously-delicious curry chicken (cooked by Aunt Maddy), chopped stewed duck and chicken with everybody, despite no proper utensils : D~

Post-Photoshoot

Gee, it was 2 days of cell recovery for me - Went for facial to remove all the leftover gunk from my badly clogged pores the day before and had a good hair trim just now. Anyway, I am so damn relieved as my photoshoot is finally over!

It was a long Monday for both Fat Boy and me. We woke up at 8am to wash up before popping by his house to get that white short which he felt was perfect for the photoshoot. We had a quick, but hearty breakfast of Ipoh chicken hor fan, 2 half-boiled Omega eggs, 2 slices of kaya toast and 2 cups of thick white coffee to kickstart the day.

I spent an hour and a half staring at the mirror while the makeup artist slapped on thick foundation, eye shadow, rouge and mascara on my face and tons of hairspray on my hair : (
(Nevertheless, I was very amazed to see the transformed me - I had double eyelids, zilch dark rings and my big pores were non-existent) Initially, I thought photoshooting was a simple affair. I was so damn wrong. We were at the mercy of the photographer, who was an eccentric guy who had this strange habit of sniggering : / We had to pose whatever he wanted us to and seriously, I had no idea how our pictures would turn out to be. Hahaha...

It was really tedious jumping in and out of 5 fanciful costumes and waiting for the makeup artist to perform her magic on my face and hair, which I knew was seriously dying. I had wanted to rip off that thick layer of compounded foundation and powder >: ( As if it was not bad enough, I had to experience wearing a damn heavy wedding gown with a 2 metre train while threading through a muddy pathway and overgrown grass. Besides that, I had to pose with a radiant and happy smile with commando mozzies buzzing around and waiting for a good opportunity to suck my blood >: ( (Fucking mozzies!) When I thought it was the end (which I was so bloody wrong), I had to pose in a dilapitated house with falling bricks (For beautiful effect later on) and on a plateau with overgrown grass (I was bitten by fucking ants and I couldn't even bend and scratch my legs!) By the time the photoshoot session was over, both Fat Boy and I were almost dead with mozzie and ant bites, dehydration and fatigue. We had a quick dinner at Old Town Cafe before going back to Singapore.

As for last Saturday, both Fat Boy and I went to Holiday Inn at Johor Bahru to have KFC for lunch before going to my usual nail parlour to have my manicure and pedicure. Dinner was at East Court in Jusco Tebrau - We had vinegar pig trotters, sweet and sour pork and onion omelette : ) We came back to Singapore and continued with the night at The Clinic. I was so happy to meet up with Adeline, Yam Gal, Isaac, Angie & Sunshine Boy! : D (I was kinda annoyed by Adeline's suitor, Leo, though. Perhaps I am too conservative. I found him too aggressive) As it was not so conducive to continue chatting with the loud music and empty beer bottles lying around, we headed to Tong Shui at Bugis where we met up with AK, Nicole and Istari : )

Everything For That Photoshoot

There are so many things I want to do after the photoshoot and the actual day! >: ( (Can you hear the calling of vanity..?) Oh yeah, I will be doing my wedding photoshoot this coming Monday. I have confirmed the 5 gowns for the photoshoot, bought a pair of shimmery-silver heels (I had a choice of silver and white. I chose the former), went for a good seaweed wrap to extract toxins out of that fatty body and started to put on facial masks of Bodyshop's Teatree Oil Mask and my own DIY honey spread : D I must make sure nothing goes wrong on that sickening day! I must be a pretty bride on that bloody day! >: ( It will be a damn bloody whole day event that starts from 10:30am (Imagine how early I will have to wake up~!) to 6:30pm. I guess my hair and face would have withered and died from all the back-combing, hairspray and lousy cosmetics : / You must be thinking if I am shuddering (to the extent of hyperventilation) at the mere thought of it eh? Fret not! I have already made appointments with Aunt Helen and Yvonne from Benz Hair Salon (My new hairdresser!) on the following Tuesday and Wednesday respectively : )

I had wanted to straighten my hair after the photoshoot, but on second thought, it may be a better idea to do it after my actual day (I do not want my straightened locks to be marred by my makeup artist and at the same time, I do not want to restrict the latter's creativity) Well, I just hope that my new hairdryer can stop those ugly kinks till I go for hair rebonding : ( (So far so good, to date)

Fat Boy always thinks that I should have better things to worry than petty stuff like my face and hair. But hey, pot calling kettle black - he's trying hard to shed those excess pounds, especially those clamping tightly around his waist and to ensure his hair looks thicker on that day by taking Propecia : P He's not happy that he has only 2 suits for the photoshoot whereas I have 5 : P We went hysterical when we found zits appearing out from nowhere and hey, did I tell you that my face nearly went bonkers after using the Shu Umuera cleansing oil? I think it was too strong for my face hence tiny angry-looking boils laced along my face : ( (I stopped using it ever since and my condition has improved)

Gee, I intend to go jogging and put on my DIY honey mask after the 9pm show. Hahaha...I am a vain person and I am not embarrassed to announce to the whole world! : D

A Simple Life

I guess life's much happier and simpler after leaving the dungeons of BGC : ) I have enough rest and there is no worry about not hitting any sales target and facing the evil boss and his lackeys! Yes! So what if it's Monday tomorrow? It's no longer blue for me!

Last Wednesday evening, I met Rightie, Adeline and Amy at The Pasta Cafe in Takashimaya. Just as I was looking so forward to meeting them, I realized that I forgot to bring my mobile phone : ( Feeling exasperated, I frantically searched for a public phone and a 10 cent coin and called Adeline. She did not pick up and I had no choice, but to leave a voice message (Yeah, I was so damn praying hard that she would listen to it!) I walked into the cafe hoping that any one of them would have reached and called out to me (My hopes were dashed when I did not see any familiar face)

As the minutes ticked away and after many sips of water, I got increasingly restless and decided to use the cafe's phone. Managed to get hold of Adeline and well, she managed to get Rightie and the rest is history : ) I was just so happy to see them again albeit the so-so pasta and pizza! Wonder when is the next gathering? : D

As for Thursday afternoon, Fat Boy, Aunt Maddy and I went to Johor Bahru. After having my usual must-drink white coffee, we headed to Printemps, where I tried the gowns for our photoshoot. Initially, I thought I would take the whole day to choose and try on the gowns, but to my surprise, I took only 2 hours! : ) Sweet, which means to say we had more time for other activities: After dinner of zi char, we went to Jusco Tebrau for grocery shopping. By the time we reached home, it was about 1am. Aunt Maddy was anxious to go to bed as she had work the next day : /

I spent the whole of Friday surfing Facebook : P Fat Boy came home from work and we went to have claypot rice for dinner at Chinatown before meeting up with Sunshine Boy, Chloe and Claudia at Molly Malone's : ) It was good to see them again and well, as usual, hear their grievances (What's new?) Yam Gal and Isaac arrived after their spa session and we surprised the birthday girl with a Royal Chocolate cake from Polar : ) (She had another surprise from the house - a flaming Lamborghini)

Saturday afternoon was spent Had dinner of Teochew porridge at Redhill with Fat Boy and we went to Parkway Parade after that. I bought a watermelon, 2 cataloupes and an hairdryer (I guess I need a hairdyer to tame those kinks after all and the best thing was, it cost 11 bucks) Went to Loyang Tua Pekong to offer incense and met up with the SPI guys at Mr Bean for a short drink before we headed home : )

Went to East Coast Park for jogging this afternoon and boy, I could feel the fats on my arms melting away (I am trying to sound positive here) Both Fat Boy and I had fish soup and rice for dinner and though we shared half a watermelon just now, we are feeling hunger pangs at this very moment. Will we resist the urge to grab something to eat...? Stay tune.

Another Free Week

It's raining right now and wow, I simply love the sounds of raindrops pelting at every corner : D Had wanted to hide under my warm and toasty blanket, but thought that it might be good to drop a note before I do so : ) I am living life almost to how I want it to be right now - Doing the stuff that I want as and when and of course, waking up late : ) (By the way, I just realised I look so much radiant as compared to months back)

Last Wednesday morning, I jostled Fat Boy out of slumber as I wanted to go to the airport and send Wynne and her Korean boyfriend, Myung Sub, off (They had to go back to Japan to continue with their studies as their vacation was over) I was overwhelmed by sadness when I saw Wynne walk into the departure hall. I thought I would cry, but I did not (Guess my attempts to console myself that she would be back in July helped) We left the airport and went home for breakfast before Fat Boy went to work at 10am and I, back to bed (Did I tell you that I woke him up at 6am?)

Later in the afternoon, we, together with Aunt Maddy, went to JB after he finished his work. We went to Printemps to book dates for gown selection for our photoshoot as well as the photoshoot itself. After much bickering, we finally concluded the dates and went for dinner at HK Cafe after that. Aunt Maddy was so happy to have gone with us as she bought 2 pairs of sandals and 5 packets of putu mayam!

As for Thursday, I blew 50 bucks at Loreal Private Sale at Le Meridien and bought a bottle of Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil and 2 tubes of Lancome's Juicy Pop. Yam Gal bought the same stuff as well as bottles of perfume : ) We proceeded to the IT Fair in Suntec and was awed by the crowd (Hey, didn't these people need to work? It was only 4pm!) We burned a big hole in our pockets when we couldn't resist the attraction of the cute Lenovo S10 and a 19-inch ViewSonic monitor. It was a day of great damage, but seriously, the netbook seems to have everything except CD-ROM!

As for Friday, Fat Boy and I went to have an early dinner at Tan Quee Lan Street before walking around Bugis and Raffles City and settling down for a sweet mango dessert : ) We went home after that as I was feeling tired from all the walking and haggling from the previous day : /

I thought I could sleep through the day on Saturday, but that plan dissipitated when the Malay masseuss called me : / She told me that she was available only at that timing and asked me to prepare myself (Boo) For 45 bucks, it was a value-for-money session - Besides kneading my fatty bits, she untied the knots of my tight muscles and shared with me many beauty and health tips : D After the whole session, I could feel that the fatty bits are more firmed up and till now, certain points of my body aches. I might consider getting her again soon, before my photoshoot
: )

Had dinner with the SPI guys at Farmart before we went for recce at Baby Corpse Dumping Ground, Lim Chu Kang Junction and West Coast Park. It was a disappointment as we could not gather much findings and by the time both Fat Boy and I reached home, it was already 5am.

Free Week

Gee, I have no recollection what I have done last week. I seem to lose track of time (Perhaps I have too much time on my plate : P ) Last Tuesday afternoon, I went to Aunt Helen's to do housekeeping on my face (Yeah, after all the heavy makeup on my ROM day) and met up with Wynne after that. We went to Han's at Park Mall to have dinner as she was craving for Chinese cuisine. Fat Boy joined us after work and we had a great time catching up : ) We proceeded to TCC for post-dinner coffee while Fat Boy went to Carrefour to look at stuff for his car ; ) Well, girls' talk is definitely more interesting when guys are not around eh? ; P

Wynne met me at home the following day as she wanted to pay a visit to Gramps as well : ) Both of us proceeded to Benz Hair Salon at Change Alley to fix our hairdo (She went for an 80 buck treatment and snip whereas I went for a 26 buck trim) We strolled out of the salon feeling satisfied : ) As it was too early for her appointment with her best friend, I suggested we have coffee at Starbucks in One Fullerton : ) We continued with our girls' talk which also revolved family issues. It felt really great meeting up with her again. Unfortunately, she would be flying back to Japan this coming Wednesday ; ( We parted ways and the rest of the day was spent with Fat Boy strolling around Orchard Road. He was anxious to find a suit for our actual day : )

As for Thursday, I met up with Sunshine Boy and Yvonne at Chevron House and we went to have dinner at Golden Cafe before heading to Nos, a KTV pub. Well, as much as I enjoyed the cheap and good beer, I was not comfortable with singing in such an open place (Guess I am too used to singing in a confined square box : P ) Fat Boy came to pick me up after his gathering with his ex-colleagues at Holland Village and well, home sweet home : )

My Friday was spent sleeping the whole afternoon away : P I was awakened by Fat Boy's call in the late afternoon. He told me to wash up and get ready for his sister's birthday dinner. We would be heading to Golden Mile Complex to have steamboat! : D~ We had desserts, sang birthday songs and cut cake at Ah Chew in Tan Quee Lan Street after that.

As for Saturday, we had dinner at Botak Jone's in Depot Road, played bowling at Mount Faber, watched "Coming Soon" at Marina Square and had tea at HK Cafe before going home. By the time our heads touched the pillow, it was 5am. I was damn deadbeat~
( - . - ) zzzz

Woke up at 11am on Sunday and went to Margaret Drive to doggybag one whole steamed chicken, boiled kale in oyster sauce and 7 packets of steaming hot fragrant chicken rice : D~ (It was a birthday treat to Daddy whose birthday is 3 March : ) ) Watched some Korean drama serials and met up with Myung Sop, Wynne's Korean boyfriend. They came to our house as the former wanted to pay a visit to Gramps. He wanted us to know that he was sincere in wanting to be with Wynne too : ) The 4 of us left the house after 2 hours and we had fish and chips for dinner at Fishermen's Wharf (I didn't like the oily and mushy fish : ( ) Went to Mediya to burn the excess calories before heading to Crazy Elephant to support Justin (He was the stand-in lead singer for the night) We left the place shortly as it was kinda boring - The long table and extremely loud music made it difficult for all of us to talk to one another : /

Life's Turning Point

Last Friday was my last day with the company and I am so damn glad to leave the rotten place which is constantly filled with the foul air of politics : D Both Yam Gal and I left on the dot and we headed straight the nail parlour to fix our nails before meeting up with Sunshine Boy and the rest at Molly Malone's : ) By the way, before we even stepped out of the office, Jacintha cried like a shaken baby (Guess nobody's going to help cover her ass anymore) Though I was excited to leave and not turn back to look at the office, I was starting to miss colleagues who were close to my heart, like Sunshine Boy, Claudia, Chloe, Jonathon, Justin, Adam :~(

Well, it was great to gather at Molly Malone's - We went crazy reading my last email, which was dedicated to every single one in the company, aloud and repeatedly : D~ We also joked about the few obnoxious people whose passion was to make life difficult for the rest. Food and drinks were not important that night. Camaraderie was : ) Well, god knows if we would have the chance to gather together again, hence, it was so damn important to utilize every single moment. We left at 11:30am as some of them had their own programs (Just as well, I had to rest early for the next day : ) )

I woke up at 9am the following day. I was so excited that I did not have breakfast : P Fat Boy went to Raffles Place to collect my hand bouquet whereas I stayed at home to wait for the makeup artiste (He was recommended by Rightie : ) ) Well, he was 15 minutes late and to be frank, he was chatty and friendly, which was good as I was put to ease : ) Halfway through the transformation to a beautiful bride, Adeline and Amy arrived and accompanied me : ) Rightie came afterwards and the 4 of us went to Zhou's Kitchen to overlook the table layout and seating arrangements. I was grateful that everybody turned up on time to shower both Fat Boy and me their blessings : ) I was very touched by Wynne's presence - She flew in from Japan just to attend this event and I shed tears of joy the moment I saw her (So embarrassing!) The solemnization procedure went well and yes, I am no longer a miss, but a missus and a happy one too! : D~

After solemnization, we proceeded to have lunch in the dining hall : ) Due to earlier pangs of heart-throbbing excitement and fatigue, I lost all appetite; hence, I went from table to table chatting and making sure that they were fine with the food. To heighten the atmosphere and satisfy everybody's curiosity, I unwrapped gifts on the spot. I was surprised by everybody's generosity - There were ang pows, a pair of crystal owls from Wynne, a limited edition Mickey and Minnie Mouse puzzle from Jan Jan and Match, red wine with a pair of glasses from Godpa and Godma, spa vouchers from Sworn Sista and her husband as well as a bouquet of lovely red roses from Rightie!

After lunch, we headed straight home to wash up and rest. It was damn troublesome taking out the hairpins from the hair and I was so worried about the damage the makeup would inflict on my estranged skin : ( I was also hungry and Aunt Maddy cooked Maggi mee for my empty tummy : P After resting for a while, both Fat Boy and I went to Kbox in Suntec City to meet up with AK, Jan Jan, Match, Nicole and Istari for a good crooning session, which ended at 2:30am. By the time we reached home, it was already 3:30am and instead of spending private time that everybody reminded us to have, we chose our beauty sleep : P

On Leave

I am left with another day before I am freed from intensive boredom of surfing the Internet all day long in the dungeon (But hey, what's the complaint? I am being paid, you know) : ) I am so glad to leave this bloody place, which is filled with the disgusting stench of politics, favouritism and backstabbing! Yes, another day and I am free~!~Be happy for me alright?

I was on leave yesterday. Had wanted to come back to slack in the afternoon, but on second thoughts, what's the point? I did not apply for leave a week in advance and I assume that by taking urgent leave, regardless half or full day, the company will take it as a full day (I don't want to be a bloody idiot by working for free) Well, being on leave yesterday didn't mean that I slept in. I woke up even earlier (at 7:15am) for a good cause, of course - Fat Boy and I went to Registry of Marriages for document verification at 8:40am. We had to watch a boring "How to maintain your marriage" video while waiting for our turn (Propaganda to get more Singaporeans to give birth eh?) I was glad that we settled everything within half an hour. We collected our un-endorsed marriage certificate and proceeded to Raffles Place for lunch.

Met up with Yam Gal and Isaac, Sunshine Boy and his gang at Chevron House before walking towards Golden Cafe for lunch. Had fried seafood vermicelli and iced barley water whereas Fat Boy had fried rice and Coke. It was a short session; I walked back to Chevron House with the gang whereas Fat Boy went off to work. It really fantastic of not having to go back to the dungeon after lunch : ) I spent my afternoon shopping for a hand bouquet for this Saturday as well checking out the rates for express manicure which both Yam Gal and I would be doing tomorrow : ) (What a tai tai life~!)

Feeling energetic, I walked from Raffles Place to Marina Square. Well, I enjoyed the scenery and the walk though it was hot. Afternoons can be so lazy. It's a luxury to spend afternoons doing things that one wants : ) I went for a good oil massage as well as cold wrap too (I dozed off many times and wished that I was at home!) and went home afterwards. As for dinner, I had Aunt Maddy's leftover fried rice and Fat Boy, Maggi mee with egg and ham. Feeling full and tired, we went to take a short nap, only to wake up at 8:45pm : S (We had insomnia later in the night)

As for tonight, I am going to attend Gramp's birthday dinner, together with Aunt Maddy, Aunt Linda, Bro and Fat Boy, at Crystal Jade in Ngee Ann City. I have brought along my camera; will definitely snap lotsa pictures : )
