Dinner At Geylang

Woke up at 10am this morning - Daddy popped by and woke me up. Jumped out of bed and greeted him a big warm "Daddy!!" (He always loves that!) Read the newspapers and watched as the former was playing with my beastie brother (Who else but Boyboy?) However, he left after a while and I was sad that Aunt Maddy had to work as well (it meant that I had to buy my own lunch : ( ) Initially, I had wanted to ask King Kong to accompany me for lunch; ultimately decided not to as I needed my precious beauty sleep : P

Hunger made me get up from my lazy butt; Doggy-bagged mixed veggie rice consisting of soya-sauced chicken drumstick, cabbage as well as fried fish (What the hell, 4 bucks!) After chomping down lunch and surfing the Internet (waiting for digestion, lest my tummy got bigger...), I quickly plopped onto my bed and drifted into slumberland (Having a nap in the day is equivalent to a short stint in Paradise. Awwwwww...) However, just before I could reach deep sleep, my mobile phone rang. It was King Kong. Feeling pissed, after a few nasty words and agreeing to meet him for dinner, I hung up and yes, this time round, I achieved deep sleep : )

Woke up at 4:45pm and feeling groggy, I called King Kong. Had wanted to tell him to cancel the dinner appointment, but after realizing that he was already on his way, I aborted the idea. Bathed my beastie brother (imagine the stench after a week) and after washing myself up, I met King Kong at my void deck. Together, we took Bus 51 to Geylang to have dinner.

We settled for the famous black-beaned beef hor fan and my favorite sweet & sour pork. It had been a few good years since I had the former (Fat Boy cannot take beef : P ) Had wanted to eat the famous Yong He beancurd next door, but realized that the shop had shifted to Lorong 27A. We strolled down and found the place, and was shocked to find it empty. Guess not many people knew about the new place. Ordered beancurd and omelette-cum-pork floss pastry (I only had one bite!) and I felt that the standard had dropped (Or was I too full?)

In addition, I bought the famous Tanjong Rhu mini char siew buns and peaches for Gramps; I thought she might like them : ) We continued to walk all the way to Bugis Junction and we had great fun chatting despite the long distance : ) (Not sure what exactly we chat though) Guess by the time we reached, we had fully burnt the calories from dinner and dessert : ) Took a lazy stroll around the shopping mall and went home via Bus 51.

Stuffing himself with food?

Trying to pacify me to eat?

I think Duckie is quite cute..
