You'll Be Fine : )

Adeline's younger sister, Berline (or Berls as she's known affectionately as by us) met with a car accident yesterday. I was so worried when I heard the news; Adeline kept me posted with the latest updates - Berls hurt her face and had to undergo plastic surgery. Fortunately, there were no internal injuries (God bless!) I took the liberty to inform Rightie about the accident (I thought she should know as we all know one another) and we thought of visiting Berls, then again, it may not be convenient as she may not like us to be around at this point in time. Well, let's wait for Adeline's indication...in the meantime, let's pray everything is going to be alright (It will definitely be alright)

This incident reminds me of when Bro had to undergo a corrective eye surgery last April. The whole family took leave to run through the paperwork and of course, just to be there for him, knowing that we could not enter the operating theater (We would dash in if we could, you know) Though it was considered a minor surgery, everybody could not help but worry about the slightest things, like, would he be in pain (Obviously no, as he would be under General Anesthetic), would the doctor screw up (Oh please, the doctor had performed on thousands of eyeballs before his) and  so on.

We made sure we were the first people he saw when he opened his eyes and the first thing that came out from our mouth was "Are you ok?" before leaving him alone to rest for 2 hours before w brought him home. I am not sure if he ever remembers this scenario, but it is etched deeply in my memory (Blame me for having a memory of an elephant) I was quite touched though the recipient was not me. Yes, this is family love. A love that is completely different from that between a man and a woman. It's hard to describe; if I were to, I would say, "Blood is thicker than water".

Yes, Bro did say that the aftermath of the surgery was painful. I strongly believe that it would even be more painful if we were not around. He should be glad that his family members were around him in his moment of darkness : )

Back to Berls - if this is an ordeal that Fate challenged her to, she should not worry that she would be fighting the battle alone. Her family is with her always and not forgetting us, her friends. Like what Adeline commented on her Facebook, "You'll be fine", yes, you will definitely be ok.

Again

I must say upkeeping a blog is tedious work. It is fun and there is loads to write when you have lotsa time in your hands and when your other half is not around 24/7. I must say I miss sharing my thoughts though I would say my life is not as happening and colourful as before. I must also admit that I am lazy (Slap me, punch me, bite me!) Nevertheless, will try my best to update the nuggets of my life here...I know you girls are reading my blog, you are the pushing factor! Yay~

I am leading a busy (near hectic) life now - Achieving sales targets, training new people and ensuring they stay afloat is hard work. I do not mind making sure they stay afloat, but what pisses me is when they question if what I've asked them to do work. I felt like slapping them and screamed "What the hell, you must know you are a damn newbie. Just follow! I have no time to explain to you!" They must understand whatever taste, smell, look bad is good for your health (in this case, work). Hahaha...Whatever it is, I have to bite the bullet regardless how bad I portray; this is to ensure everybody succeeds. Managing people has never been my forte and I must honestly say I do not like it. I prefer to be a lone farmer and enjoy the sweet fruits of my own harvest. *Sigh* What the heck. Enough about work.

Met up with Sworn Sista and her hubby the previous Thursday for her birthday dinner at Sushi Tei in Vivocity. Though both Fat Boy and I were happy to meet up with them, we were bored to tears by their constant rattling of the daily life of their little prince and how guilty they were to leave him with her mother while they were enjoying outside : ( Gee, get a life! having a kid doesn't mean you have to cage yourself at home, lose your identity and not all friends enjoy listening to the nitty gritty details of how your kid coos during bathtime and so on : S Fortunately, the ordeal lasted for an hour and we moved on to other topics, which we were able to participate. Will I behave like that in the near future? I hope not!

I would say it would be more relaxing to surround oneself with friends who have no kids yet. At the very least, the topics revolve around guys (Oh yes, I must have eye-candy at times and hey, I still have my market value!), shopping, work and juicy gossips! I never had enough of the outing with Rightie and Adeline the previous Saturday night despite the pathetic couple of hours at Marmalade Pantry and Muddy Murphy's. I look forward to such girls' night-out again!

While working on this entry, I am listening to Jazzamor, a German duo whose music elements consist of lounge music, bossa nova and jazz. Great!! I love such music and I am a sucker for cafes / restaurants that play such music. Fly me to the moon....
