What Goes Around Comes Around

"Karma" is a word that I keep seeing these few days especially after Jack Neo's extra-marital affairs. He came forward and apologised for his bad deeds and well, as usual, he never failed to preach just like what he usually did in his movies - "You reap what you sow".

At one of our usual meetups, I heard from Sunshine Boy that one of my nemesis in my previous company quit recently. The reason she cited was that her father was ill. I can never forget how sneaky and arrogant she was when she declared herself teamlead and I was so frustrated by the way she treated me - She treated me like her subordinate when I had been there much longer than she was. By not being bossy gave her the idea that I was a pushover? Perhaps. I had never like the idea to control my team-mates though I was given unofficial authority. While the other teamleads saw their members as juniors, I saw my own as peers. That was the reason why we enjoyed working together and to this very day, we are still very good friends who never fail to giggle when we see one another : )

Back to the nemesis; I had my exit interview with her and to the very last moment, she tried to defend herself, saying that she was just following the evil Boss's instructions. Who cares? I couldn't be bothered by what she said and I cut short stating that it was pointless to explain everything because I only believe in my own eyes and I was plain disappointed with the evil Boss. All that was left was unfortunately, Sunshine Boy and the vile politics of the teamleads and their members. I have taken the beautiful memories with me : ) What goes around comes around, do you not believe the nemesis' lack of ability to achieve sales figures, hence was surpassed by prettier and smarter newcomers which in a way forced her to leave? What were her emotions just before she left? Same as mine? At least I had beautiful memories.

I no longer hate her. I just wish her all the best (Anyway, wishes are free eh?) I guess it was also a wake-up call that not all people are kind and friendly . There are also people like Jacintha, Joyce, Sophie and so on...I am just glad that I found Rightie, Amy, Adeline and Sunshine Boy : ) May the vile continue to rot in hell.

Tired

Has been a tiring week, well, have been feeling lethargic most of the time. Lack of exercise? Maybe (who cares?) All I want to do is to sleep! Sleep is life's greatest luxury ( ^ . ^ )

Last Saturday, Aunt Maddy, Fat Boy and I went to Sin Kee Chicken Rice to have lunch. It used to be situated at a hawker centre in Margaret Drive but has moved to somewhere nearby (It has a shop unit of its own) Though the standard of the succulent chicken and fragrant rice remains, the customer service sucks. *Sigh* Some bosses neglect the importance of customer service eh? Don't they know that it's also an important factor to whether the customers will return or not.

After a hearty and oily lunch, we proceeded to Wat Ananda Metyarama and Zhen Ren Gong Temple to offer incense before going home to rest : ) Instead of taking a nap, both Fat Boy and I watched "L for Love, L for Lies" - about a young girl who is being cheated by her good friend and studious-looking boyfriend who runs a dessert shop. Furious, she engaged the services of a handsome conman to cheat her good friend and during the process, they felt in love and blah blah blah...Quite an interesting show ; )

Went to fetch Adeline from Queenstown MRT station and we headed to the love nest of Rightie and her boyfriend at Labelz. It was so nice of them to organize a BBQ party for us, but unfortunately, it rained that evening and it happened that the 3 of us had activities, hence, we left after a beer or two and some chicken wings : ) We had dinner at Food Republic in Vivocity and we went separate ways after that - Adeline went to Daiso before heading home whereas Fat Boy and I went to the cinema to meet up with Jan Jan and the rest. Watched "Being Human" and I guess it was not as good as Jack Neo's previous works. The plot was similar to that of "One More Chance" which the main character dreamed / imagined the consequences and woke up just before he or she was to perform the deed. Anyway, I still look forward to more of Jack Neo's works despite his ugly affairs. Let's not bother about his personal life, shall we?

As if it was not early to go home, we headed to a roti prata shop at Tanjong Pagar for supper and coffee (Both Fat Boy and I resisted the temptation of fragrant curry and roti prata by continuously sipping our drinks and looking elsewhere while they were eating) We reached home at 2:30am ( - . - )

As for Sunday morning, we woke up earlier than usual as we had to go to Johor Bahru - Fat Boy needed a haircut badly whereas I was desperate for a body massage : ) We got what we wanted and oh yes, Fat Boy bought many business shirts from Padini, whereas there was nothing for me to buy : ( We had Sushi King for dinner before we drove back home.

I am so damn looking forward to Friday as I will be attending L'Oreal private sale at the Meridien and dinner with Jan Jan and the rest afterwards. Saturday is chill-out with Rightie, Adeline, Sunshine Boy and the rest at Timbre @ Old School in Mount Sophia ; )

I'm Back!

It has been more than 2 months since I penned my thoughts and yes, the first thing I am going to say is...Fat Boy is sick : ( He has been down with a bad throat and slight fever since last Friday and we attributed it to the bad weather and thought nothing of it. However, a couple of hours back, his eyes started to get reddish and oozed pus (Oh my god!) We decided to go to the doctor's after dinner at Jack's Place with Gramps and Aunt Maddy.

He was diagnosed with bacterial infection which caused conjunctivitis (the oozing of pus from his eyes). A bottle of cough mixture, some anti-biotic tablets, flu pills and eye drops costs 40 bucks (Medical health in Singapore is not cheap eh?) and we went home immediately after that. We were supposed to join the SPI guys to watch "Being Human"; fortunately, all tickets were fully booked. We will watch it next week ; ) (It's all written in the book, isn't it?) Oh, did I tell you that Fat Boy has the tendency to fall sick every single time he decides to exercise? Seems like he will not be able to shed the extra pounds ; ) At this point of time, I am responsible to remind him to take his medicine and to help him wit the eye drops : ) I am a nurse : P

Anyway, it has been slightly a year since I am officially Mrs Ee...more than a year since I had my eyebrow embroidery touch-up (I am going to fix them tomorrow afternoon)...coming to a year that my face was rotten with acne (I cannot bear to remember the horrible period!) It has been an eventful 2009 and I hope 2010 will be happy and peaceful for me : ) Looking forward to Rightie's BBQ party next Saturday! So long!
