Nothing much for the week except for last Saturday afternoon. After Fat Boy came back from his appointment, we went to Natural Cool at Tai Seng Drive to shop for air-conditioners - Gramps had been complaining about the existing air conditioner which went into occasional bonkers mode and as one who is tremendously phobic of heat, Fat Boy suggested we buy an air conditioner for her as soon as possible. We were lucky; Natural Cool had a good deal for Panasonic inverter air conditioners and he bought them on the spot. Installation will be this coming Thursday : )
We met up with his family to have dinner at Tampopo, a Japanese restaurant at Liang court (His mum won the 1st prize for 1809, our actual date) and to be frank, the prices were exhorbitant! If not for the 50% discount card, the bill would have hit 200 bucks (Fortunately, I am not the one who picked the tab : P ) We left for Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura to meet up with the SPI guys for coffee and parted ways at 12 midnight (I was too tired to go anywhere else)
As for yesterday morning, we headed to Printemps for our wedding photo selection. It was really a headache to choose 30 out of so many pictures : / However, despite being bombarded with photo packages by the wedding coordinator, we were unfazed. We selected our 30 pictures and album cover design for the wedding album, and pictures for the tabletop and wall potraits. It was a great relief to step out of the bridal studio after 3 hours and we headed to Reds (That vainpot wanted a haircut) before going for an early dinner at the hawker centre in Sentosa. We had the usual Stout pork ribs, sambal tapioca leaves, onion omelette and wine prawns and guess the bill? 52RM ; )
While I am typing away right now, Fat Boy, who is sitting beside me, is having a big headache over the guest list - who to invite and who not to invite? Both my dad and his mum have not submitted their respective guest lists to us and seriously, I have no idea how to continue from here ; / It's really a big headache! Arghhh! Oh, I have yet to shop for my bed and wardrobe too (though I know I want the pocket mattress from Seahorse!) I think he must be thinking I am slacking too much...Another 2 months to go before my big day. I know there are many unfinished business, but I am just too lazy to get the engine roaring. Arghhhhhh....

The Weekends
Today was a relaxing day for me - Had a good nap after a good and hearty lunch of mixed veggie rice; and woke up to watch some TV and had a light dinner of porridge
: D
Yesterday was activity-packed - I met Rightie and her colleagues for lunch at Food Republic in Wisma Atria before walking around Orchard Road to search for the perfect emerald-cut proposal ring. We searched high and low for it in Aspial, Lee Hwa and Citigem, but to no avail. The cut was either too expensive (16K, baby!) or that the accompanying settings were either too plain or too complicated. It was really tedious to walk under the blaring sun (I could feel my mineral makeup melting and my legs laughing) Just as we were about to give up the search, we decided to give our last shot in the Delphi and boy, we found the perfect proposal ring at Fairy Incorporation, where they churn out customized rings according to the likes and characteristics of the recepient. This concept is rather interesting because you get to choose the diamond's cut and design the settings. The only downside is the price tag. It's common knowledge that customized stuff are usually more expensive. I did not like the idea that I am buying an expensive stuff like a diamond ring from an unheard brand...(Yeah, call me anal)
Both Rightie and I proceeded to meet up with Adeline in front of Raffles Hotel before we went to have dinner at an authentic Thai eatery in Purvis Street. It was a good dinner - We had pandan chicken, pineapple rice, fried kale, black peppered squid and seafood tom yam soup accompanied by refreshing coconut and lime juice : D Rightie's boyfriend, Eric, met up with us after we finished our dinner and after he had finished his crabmeat fried rice and pandan chicken, we parted ways and both Adeline and I headed to Raffles City. After strolling around, we decided to hang around in O Cha Cha and sip macha-laced drinks : ) It was really great to catch up with Adeline after a long time. If not for time limitations, we could have done more catching-up. Well, I just have to wait till 8 May after she finished her exams ; )
We walked to the bus-stop in front of Esplanade where I took Bus 195 to Clarke Quay. I met up with both Match and Jan Jan at TCC and we spoke about the coming Paranormal Annual General Meeting that was to be held this Thursday evening. Fat Boy joined us after his work and we stayed till 1am before we went home. Oh, I had macha soya latte (Antioxidants and soya protein are good for me!)

Some Thoughts
It sucks to know that all the efforts of maintaining that clear face go down the drain just after one freaking photography session! Despite a visit to Aunt Helen's last Tuesday, recovery is not as speedy as I thought : ( Despite digging out the freaking yellowish zits, I had lost that radiant blemish-free complexion that I had months back : ( (What the fuck!) It doesn't help that that time of the month is approaching - I think I had better just hide at home : /
Oh yeah, today is a good day - I had my DIY teatree oil facial (I am not going to let my skin die on me) and a good dinner with Aunt Maddy and Fat Boy at Sushi Tei in Vivocity : ) We had oyako-don, yasai tempura, avocado maki, sashimi salad and handrolls. Dessert was matcha ice cream topped with red beans and yuzu sorbet : P~ We strolled around the huge mall before heading home.
Met up with Sworn Sista in Sakae Sushi at Tiong Bahru Plaza last Tuesday. It had been quite sometime since we met for dinner. We spoke about my upcoming wedding, her husband's problems at work and her mother-in-law's marriage crisis. As there was seriously nothing much to stroll around in Tiong Bahru Plaza, I suggested popping by her house and say "hi" to her mom : ) Stayed till around 10pm and walked to the bus-stop (Fat Boy was working till late that night, hence I had to go home myself)
As for last Sunday, my family and I went tombsweeping at Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Brown cemetery. Though it was quite tedious standing under the hot sun and not to mention testing one's dexterity climbing over numerous tombstones, there was not a single word of complaint. We were fully aware that it was just a once a year event and everything we did was for the good of our dearly-missed departed. The best part of the day was standing around Daddy's lorry while tucking into deliriously-delicious curry chicken (cooked by Aunt Maddy), chopped stewed duck and chicken with everybody, despite no proper utensils : D~

Post-Photoshoot
Gee, it was 2 days of cell recovery for me - Went for facial to remove all the leftover gunk from my badly clogged pores the day before and had a good hair trim just now. Anyway, I am so damn relieved as my photoshoot is finally over!
It was a long Monday for both Fat Boy and me. We woke up at 8am to wash up before popping by his house to get that white short which he felt was perfect for the photoshoot. We had a quick, but hearty breakfast of Ipoh chicken hor fan, 2 half-boiled Omega eggs, 2 slices of kaya toast and 2 cups of thick white coffee to kickstart the day.
I spent an hour and a half staring at the mirror while the makeup artist slapped on thick foundation, eye shadow, rouge and mascara on my face and tons of hairspray on my hair : (
(Nevertheless, I was very amazed to see the transformed me - I had double eyelids, zilch dark rings and my big pores were non-existent) Initially, I thought photoshooting was a simple affair. I was so damn wrong. We were at the mercy of the photographer, who was an eccentric guy who had this strange habit of sniggering : / We had to pose whatever he wanted us to and seriously, I had no idea how our pictures would turn out to be. Hahaha...
It was really tedious jumping in and out of 5 fanciful costumes and waiting for the makeup artist to perform her magic on my face and hair, which I knew was seriously dying. I had wanted to rip off that thick layer of compounded foundation and powder >: ( As if it was not bad enough, I had to experience wearing a damn heavy wedding gown with a 2 metre train while threading through a muddy pathway and overgrown grass. Besides that, I had to pose with a radiant and happy smile with commando mozzies buzzing around and waiting for a good opportunity to suck my blood >: ( (Fucking mozzies!) When I thought it was the end (which I was so bloody wrong), I had to pose in a dilapitated house with falling bricks (For beautiful effect later on) and on a plateau with overgrown grass (I was bitten by fucking ants and I couldn't even bend and scratch my legs!) By the time the photoshoot session was over, both Fat Boy and I were almost dead with mozzie and ant bites, dehydration and fatigue. We had a quick dinner at Old Town Cafe before going back to Singapore.
As for last Saturday, both Fat Boy and I went to Holiday Inn at Johor Bahru to have KFC for lunch before going to my usual nail parlour to have my manicure and pedicure. Dinner was at East Court in Jusco Tebrau - We had vinegar pig trotters, sweet and sour pork and onion omelette : ) We came back to Singapore and continued with the night at The Clinic. I was so happy to meet up with Adeline, Yam Gal, Isaac, Angie & Sunshine Boy! : D (I was kinda annoyed by Adeline's suitor, Leo, though. Perhaps I am too conservative. I found him too aggressive) As it was not so conducive to continue chatting with the loud music and empty beer bottles lying around, we headed to Tong Shui at Bugis where we met up with AK, Nicole and Istari : )
