I am left with another day before I am freed from intensive boredom of surfing the Internet all day long in the dungeon (But hey, what's the complaint? I am being paid, you know) : ) I am so glad to leave this bloody place, which is filled with the disgusting stench of politics, favouritism and backstabbing! Yes, another day and I am free~!~Be happy for me alright?
I was on leave yesterday. Had wanted to come back to slack in the afternoon, but on second thoughts, what's the point? I did not apply for leave a week in advance and I assume that by taking urgent leave, regardless half or full day, the company will take it as a full day (I don't want to be a bloody idiot by working for free) Well, being on leave yesterday didn't mean that I slept in. I woke up even earlier (at 7:15am) for a good cause, of course - Fat Boy and I went to Registry of Marriages for document verification at 8:40am. We had to watch a boring "How to maintain your marriage" video while waiting for our turn (Propaganda to get more Singaporeans to give birth eh?) I was glad that we settled everything within half an hour. We collected our un-endorsed marriage certificate and proceeded to Raffles Place for lunch.
Met up with Yam Gal and Isaac, Sunshine Boy and his gang at Chevron House before walking towards Golden Cafe for lunch. Had fried seafood vermicelli and iced barley water whereas Fat Boy had fried rice and Coke. It was a short session; I walked back to Chevron House with the gang whereas Fat Boy went off to work. It really fantastic of not having to go back to the dungeon after lunch : ) I spent my afternoon shopping for a hand bouquet for this Saturday as well checking out the rates for express manicure which both Yam Gal and I would be doing tomorrow : ) (What a tai tai life~!)
Feeling energetic, I walked from Raffles Place to Marina Square. Well, I enjoyed the scenery and the walk though it was hot. Afternoons can be so lazy. It's a luxury to spend afternoons doing things that one wants : ) I went for a good oil massage as well as cold wrap too (I dozed off many times and wished that I was at home!) and went home afterwards. As for dinner, I had Aunt Maddy's leftover fried rice and Fat Boy, Maggi mee with egg and ham. Feeling full and tired, we went to take a short nap, only to wake up at 8:45pm : S (We had insomnia later in the night)
As for tonight, I am going to attend Gramp's birthday dinner, together with Aunt Maddy, Aunt Linda, Bro and Fat Boy, at Crystal Jade in Ngee Ann City. I have brought along my camera; will definitely snap lotsa pictures : )

Rest & Relax
Last weekend was rather fulfilling : ) Last Friday evening, Sunshine Boy, Yam Gal, Fat Boy and I had a quick dinner at the Marina Square Foodcourt before heading for a pint at Durty Nelly : ) I had my Guinness whereas Fat Boy had his mocktail (Governor's Smile, this time) We ended the session when Isaac came to fetch Yam Gal home. Had wanted to suggest going for supper, but after seeing the former looking so exhausted, I gave up the idea and went home (As for Sunshine Boy, he went to look for his friends afterwards. The night was too early for him)
Fat Boy, Sunshine Boy and I went to JB on Saturday morning (Yam Gal and Isaac could not make it as the latter had soccer training in the afternoon) We had lunch at Old Town Cafe (Oh yes, I had my Ipoh chicken hor fan and white coffee (gao)!) before proceeding to Printemps. I was so damn excited to try on the altered ROM dress, only to realize that I could not zip u (They have missed out on the alteration : ( ) Sensing my irritation, the wedding coordinator tried to ease me by assuring that everything could be settled within a couple of minutes and to my surprise, she managed to deliver. However, it felt loose on the 1st try and I looked like an undergrown kid. The 2nd try was better, but it was loose at the bust. The catch: I had to choose hanging boobs or be seen fatty bits and pieces drooping at the bust area : O I chose the latter as I felt that it was not as obvious : / I collected the altered ROM dress with some hair accessories and jewellery within half an hour and I even bought a pair of golden heels to go along with it! Yeah, I am almost ready - To complete the preparation, I need to paint my nails at Holiday Inn Plaza.
I chose black for my nails as I did not want to look too corny and "camouflaged" : / We went to Sin Ma Accessories after that as I wanted to see what I could get to complement the dress. However, instead of me buying, it was Sunshine Boy, who spent half an hour choosing his ring (He believed that the ring would prevent him from losing wealth) : /
Feeling hungry, we proceeded to Jusco Tebrau to have Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner. It was fantastic tearing the tender and juicy chicken thigh apart with black fingernails (Yes, I am pyschotic) We went grocery shopping afterwards and were surprised to see a box of 6 bottles of bird nest with white fungus in rock sugar priced at RM8.88! We bought it without hesistation and gobbled the sugar solution on the spot : ) We also went for an hour half Thai body massage at Tesco, which is opposite Jusco Tebrau. Though it was not as classy as the one at Thai Odyssey, I was satisfied with the masseuss's skills : )
As for Sunday, both Fat Boy and I did something different from the usual rest and relax regime. After breakfast at MacDonald's, we headed for the HSBC Treetop Walk, which is between Venus Drive and MacRitchie Reservoir. It was rather fun walking and talking at the same time and we managed to find the metal bridge, which was in the midst of thick vegetation, after an hour. It was kind of disappointment as it was seriously nothing much : / As we were continued to walk for a couple of minutes, it started to pour and we had no choice but to continue walking : / I was drenched all over and it was not a pleasant feeling (I was so damn cold!) We finally reached a ranger station thinking that there might be food and drinks, but there was none. I was so damn pissed off (It was really nothing like that of Sentosa!) Fat Boy found some plastic sheets and he made us ponchos : ) We continued to walk through the pouring rain before we reached to our car : )
We went home to wash up, nap for a while before going dinner with Aunt Maddy and Bro - We had steaming hot bak kut teh at Alexandra Village! : D
Tada! Pretty in pink!

Bitch Slap!
Bitch slap! How disgusting can one be...? I am so glad that I am going to leave this rotten and politics-filled place soon! Going to do hand-over with her at 5pm later on. Wish me, or rather her, all the best.
Hi Sophie
Nevermind. It's a sooner or later thing that you will assume the role and somebody new will take it away from you, somehow and someday. Regardless, I wish you all the best.

Joanne
Hi Joanne
In case you do not know, I am not the teamlead. Anyway, I am simply a pawn in the whole scheme of things, someone who will follow instructions. If I have crossed your toes in any way, I apologise. I have not gossiped about anyone in this company in a negative way or send out any mass email talking bad about anyone.
Anyway, we will do the handover at 5pm later. Will try to finish by 6pm so that you can leave on the dot.

Hi Sophie
What kind of person you are, I'm sure you know it yourself. I do not have to tell you what kind of person you are. Whatever it is, congrats that you have moved to be the teamlead after my departure. As for the handover, isn't up to you to ensure it's smooth? I have no say, you know.

Joanne
Hi Joanne
Hope you understand that I did not double-cross you. I have to inform him as I am doing the handover. I hope you understand that I am the middle person between you and him. I simply informed him. I did not tell him that it is wrong of you to do that.
Anyway, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours and I am sure you will ensure that the handover be smooth later.
Regards
Sophie

Normal Day
Though it's utter stupidity to report to work by just surfing the Internet, I am happy to spend more time with Sunshine Boy, Yam Gal, Adam and the others : )
Yesterday, I left the office on the dot and met up with Fat Boy, who was waiting nearby : ) Together, we drove to Old Town Cafe at East Coast Park to have dinner. I had my usual Ipoh chicken horfan and white coffee, whereas Fat Boy had his nasi pandang and ice-blended coffee. We headed straight home after that to rest before donning our T-shirts, shorts and running shoes (Oh yes, he needs to burn off that tummy!) Argh! It was really tough hitting onto the pavement due to inertia (an euphemism for laziness. We could have slacked in front of the tube). However, once momentum set in, we were running like nobody's business to the extent I wanted to run another 200m, but I decided not to as I was afraid that I might injure myself : /
After washing up, I picked up the Green Tea Facial Mask, which I bought from Skin Food, from my shopping stash (Oh yes, to reward myself for exercising) and started to smear green gooey gunk onto my desperate face (Due to hormonal imbalance, I realized that my pores were clogged with yellow shitty-looking stuff) I had wanted to leave it on for 15 minutes (though the instruction given was 5 minutes) but the stench got so bad that I had to wash it off after 10 minutes : ( The product was superb - My face felt squeaky clean and bright after that : D I went to bed after my drama serial ended. As for Fat Boy, he couldn't sleep due to caffine overload (Not sure what he did before he sleep : P )
As for today, I am going home after work to meet up with him and we will go for a simple dinner before resting and going jogging again (Yes, we are determined to look good on that day!) Looking forward to tomorrow's events - Will be having dinner with Sunshine Boy and Yam Gal

What A Waste Of Time
I can't believe that I can surf the Net consecutively for 7 hours! I am so damn bored weaving in and out of Facebook, SPI forum, OnlyLady, Bonito Chico, Yahoo! mail and SingaporeBrides
: ( (Oh yes, I do have a choice of searching candidates for the other consultants, but I refused to. What's the fucking point?) Some fucking idiot actually had the cheek to ask me to search for an M&A candidate from my database and I simply brushed her off with a monotonous reply of "I will send to you if I have" (As if! Dream on, bitch! Dream on!) By the way, the useless Boss asked me to send him my entire list of clients with their contacts and other details like how to handle them and stuff like that by today 5pm. Feeling the urge to challenge him (in hope of invoking an heart attack), I told him that I would churn the bloody list by the end of the week and of course, it was a "no" on his side : P (Who cares?)
Yesterday evening, after a meaty dinner of bak kut teh at Suntec City, we went home and Fat Boy suggested waxing his car with his newly bought AutoGlym products (He could burn excess calories too) Though I did not lift a finger as it was the time of the month, he did not mind me watching him dousing the car with water, applying liquid wax onto the car as well as buffing the hardened wax away : ) The chore was completed an hour and a half and he felt so satisfied when he saw his car sparkling away : ) We went home and washed up before going to bed (Yeah, I missed the last episode of my drama serial)

I am so glad to be able to leave this shitty company soon. With such a lousy and incapable leader, I doubt the company will even survive, what's more flourish? I believe things will get only better after I leave (Have experienced rock bottom, what could be worse?) : )

It's going to be 5pm, God knows what he would want next after receiving the clientele list : ( I just hope that he would just pay off the rest of my notice period, else it would be bad for both me and him. Me, in a sense that I would be wasting time instead of sleeping at home and doing my own stuff. Him, in a sense that I would kill the morale of the other consultants. Who suffers more? You tell me? ; P

Weekend Activities
I finally did the deed today - Threw in the letter in the morning and well, I received no reply from him (Did he expect this would definitely happen, just that if it was a sooner or later thingy?) I asked Yam Gal why he did not reply and she told me that he emailed her instead; and he had wanted to know my reason for wanting to leave as well as if I had wanted to offset my 2-week notice period with my 21 days of leave (I would be insane if I said "yes"!) What turned me off was that since I was the involved party, why didn't he ask me directly? Did he know that he portray himself as a coward by asking a 3rd party to ask me? Anyway, I am so glad that I am going to leave this rotten company in 2 weeks' time. God bless those who are still struggling to survive in the bowels of the organization!
Last Friday evening, Fat Boy brought me to have Peranakan cuisine at the Peranakan Inn & Lodge in East Coast Road. It was something different from the usual medium-rare steak and red wine : ) We had sambal kang kong, sambal sotong in banana leaf, babi ponteh, ayam buah keluak, seluar fish topped with sambal chilli (It felt very homely and comforting to the tummy : ) ) We strolled along the shophouses before purchasing a couple of Kim Choo rice dumplings home (I love bak chang!) We went home to play a few rounds of poker cards with Gramps while watching TV before turning in.
I chose to ignore the alarm when it rang at 9am on Saturday morning. It was only after a couple of snoozes that I reluctantly crept out of bed to wash up and get ready for our JB trip : / (JB is really like Singapore to me. We seem to go there almost every weekend) As usual, we had lunch at Old Town Cafe. I am so hooked onto their Ipoh Chicken Hor Fan and White Coffee (Gao) - simply means thick : D~ We proceeded to Printemps only to realize that we had got the dates wrongly (I was only supposed to try on and collect the altered ROM dress next Saturday. Boo)
We strolled around the shopping mall for a while before driving around (and getting lost) JB. We finally settled for seafood dinner at Taman Seri Tebrau - Had stir-fried kale, chilli crab, pork ribs and sweet and sour fish. I was so damn full and tired that we went home to watch TV (Well, we are TV lovers : P )
As for yesterday, after brunch of wanton noodles, I told Fat Boy that I want to go Treetop Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir to get in touch with Nature. He agreed and suggested we have a short nap first. However, we were so engrossed being in slumberland that we missed the timing (We woke up at 4pm, which was too late for the 1 hour half walk!) That feeling of regret dissipitated the moment we plopped onto the sofa and watch TV (again and again...) We went for zi char dinner at a coffeeshop in Holland Village and visit Aunt Auring, who had a stroke a couple of weeks back, at her house...
Guess that sums up the activities over the weekend : D

Looking Forward To...
Today is finally Friday! While typing this entry, my body is aching all over - Yeah, I went jogging yesterday night and I guess it has been a long time since I last jogged and the system is unable to adapt to the rigourous training (Training?! I wonder. Hmmm...: P )
I knocked off early yesterday. I was already at home waiting for dinner at 6:30pm (What's the point of staying back late when the heart's no longer with the company?) Fat Boy came home at about 6:45pm and after changing into comfy attire, we walked to Queensway Shopping Centre to have curry chicken with rice ; D~ (That was why I went jogging yesterday!)
As for Wednesday evening, I met up with Ping at Cityhall MRT station platform before we made our way to Ang Mo Kio hub to catch up with Pat. We had dinner at Dian Xiao Er and I must say that the food was so-so - We had roasted duck drenched in some herbal broth, stir-fried kale drizzled with lime juice and salted fish bits, sweet and sour deep-fried pork cutlet and fried noodles with chopped mushroom. We proceeded to have bubble tea after dinner and we started to talk about husbands (for them) and husband-to-be (for me), bridal packages, banquets, HDB flats and so on. It is indeed great to exchange information especially when you are in the situation and it so happens that we are in the same process of setting up a new life with our Significant Others : D
Anyway, I am in a dilemma whether to throw in the resignation letter today or next Monday. Well, it's no longer a matter of "if", but "when"! It doesn't help that Yam Gal is on leave today - Wooo...I need moral support ( T . T ) Let me dwell on it first and the most sickening thing is that offers are starting to flood in. Arghhh! I am not going to care anymore! Alright, Monday shall be it! I am going to enjoy my pre-Valentine day tonight! Fat Boy said that he would bring me to have Nyonya cuisine at East Coast (Think he's still hooked onto "Little Nyonya" How not to be when Jeanette Aw's so pretty in that show?) Well, though I quite like the Nyonya dishes that I had in Melaka, they did not change my impression that Nyonya cuisine is very "lemak" (very rich in coconut milk) and this is something I want to avoid right now because I am going to try on the altered ROM dress tomorrow!
There are so many happy things happening in my life right now. I am so looking forward to each and every of them! Behold! 2 more weeks before ROM! Time to get into shape! : D

One-Time Insomniac
It's coming to 2am and I am still very much wide-awake (Slept too much in the day...) Well, it used to be a sleeping routine for me when I was still studying. That was when I had abundant time for myself (How I miss those days!) Woke up at 9am this morning to wash and doll up before taking Bus 196 to Suntec City with Fat Boy to meet Yam Gal and Isaac for breakfast (I simply love MacDonald's Sausage McMuffin with Egg...)
We took the bus home to be in time to fetch Gramps and the rest for lunch at Crystal Jade Restaurant in Ngee Ann City : D (She loves the food there : ) ) We had steamed cod fish with tau pok, roasted duck drizzled with curry sauce, steamed scallops topped with garlic, stir-fried kale, garlic porkribs (Yummy!) as well as some dim sum dishes like pork porridge, pan-fried carrot cake with bacon bits and egg tarts! It was a hearty lunch because I didn't feel like eating anything afterwards, but I was wrong : /
On our way home, Aunt Maddy suggested dropping by Zi Yean restaurant at Lengkok Bahru to purchase a box of yu sheng home since everybody was present for lo hei (Well, we did and we felt fuller than usual. Argh!) As I was totally tired from all the eating, I quickly washed up and hopped into bed. Guess I need sleep more than anything else. What was supposed to be a short nap turned out to be a long one - I woke up at 8pm and watched "Poisedon" while tucking into porridge with sesame-and-chilli-oil-soaked beancurd cubes and runny egg drizzled with dark soya sauce (Ooohhh...my love)
As for last Saturday, Fat Boy and I went to Johor Bahru to select my ROM dress. I was so excited when I saw the 4 dresses that the wedding coordinator had prepared for me. The 1st dress was the common shimmery ROM dress that every bride wears and to be frank, my excitement dipped : / It looked nice, but I felt that it was too long for me (Anything that goes beyond the knees is mumsy) As for the 2nd dress, it was nice with its shimmer and design, but its cut was too A-line that it looked 2D : / I liked the design of the 3rd dress, but too bad, it was in dirty-green and there was no room for consideration as I couldn't zip up : ( As for the last dress which was in lavender, I didn't choose it as it gave the visual effect of me being pregnant. Feeling undaunted, I requested to look at more dresses which were stashed in the wardrobe. A fuschia pink dress with gold trimmings caught my eye and I requested to try it and....Bingo! I felt as if it was tailormade for me albeit size discrepancy (No issue as the wedding coordinator said that it could be fixed : ) ) I am going to Primtemps on the following Saturday to try on the altered fuschia pink dress and if everything runs smoothly, I am going to bring it home : D
Last Friday evening, I had a small dinner gathering with Fat Boy, Rightie, Adeline, Claudia and Sunshine Boy at Oosters. We had fruity brew, mussels cooked in spicy tomato broth and white wine broth, fried pork knuckle and mixed platter which was nothing interesting, but shocking with lotsa french fries (Who the hell would want to pay 41 bucks for bloody french fries and a couple of croquettes and sausages?) Though the session ended short, I was truly happy to catch up with both Rightie and Adeline; not that we do not communicate via email on a daily basis, but it is always much better to see them face-to-face and to give occasional cuddles? ; ) *Muakz*

We had fruity brew, mussels cooked in spicy tomato broth and white wine broth, fried pork knuckle and mixed platter which was nothing interesting, but shocking with lotsa french fries (Who the hell would want to pay 41 bucks for bloody french fries and a couple of croquettes and sausages?) Though the session ended short, I was truly happy to catch up with both Rightie and Adeline; not that we do not communicate via email on a daily basis, but it is always much better to see them face-to-face and to give occasional cuddles? ; ) *Muakz*

Friday, Fried?
Another boring day at work - I refused to do anything except for surfing Internet. What's the point of searching high and low for candidates when I am going to tender my resignation letter next Friday? The commission's not going to be in my pocket anyway ; )
As for yesterday, I skipped the ridiculous daily sales debrief because I found it absolutely redundant. What's the point of having to feign enthusiasm in front of a pack of backstabbers? I left on the dot and met Fat Boy at Marina Square : ) We had a quick dinner at Han's (I had fried vermicelli whereas he had the silverfish fried rice topped with a sunny side-up) and we proceeded to My Humble House at The Esplanade (Oh yeah, for another round of negotiation with regards to the wedding banquet >: ( ) Fat Boy fought tooth and nail for another barrel of Tiger beer and 6 bottles of red wine to be thrown into the package and the catering sales executive relented after 30 minutes (Guess he was too tired to say "no") : ) We paid the deposit
and I was relieved that we finally confirmed the wedding banquet (The bulk of any wedding)
: D
Feeling lethargic, we went home, washed up, rested abit before embarking on his sales quotation homework. As he was slow in typing, I offered to do data entry for him while he did his quotations. In no time, we got the job done and we went to bed : )
The time now is 3:08pm. Another 3 hours to go before I can get out of this rotten place : ( I am so damn looking forward to running out of here to hold a glass of ice cold pint and to meet my beloved friends whom I have not seen for a long time!

My Pursue For Beauty
The alarm rang at the usual 7:23am and after hitting the snooze button 5 minutes later, I reluctantly jumped out of bed and after offering incense to my late Grandfather, I was about to walk into the bathroom when my devil struck me (Why bother to be so hardworking when you are going to leave soon?) I went back to bed happily, but not before I sent a text message to Yam Gal to report absence : P
I was awakened by Yam Gal's text message at 10:20am - She asked me if I would like her to download my mails (Hell yeah, my mailbox is constantly full due to its damn pathetic size) I logged into the company's webmail and began deleting redundant resumes before I made my way to the doctor's (Trust me, I had wanted to walk into the doctor's room and demand an MC without having to fake illness : /) Waited for 20 minutes before I got to see the doctor and I told her that my throat felt itchy and dry. I got out of the room 5 minutes later (Guess she saw through me) and spent another 10 minutes for the cough mixture, flu pills and lozenges : /
Went home to enjoy precious me-time before stepping out of the house at 1:30am. Took Bus 196 to Marina Square where I had my 2 hours of oily massage and cold wrap (It has been a long time since I had my wrap, hence, it felt especially bone-chilling when the solution-soaked bandages stuck onto my skin) I felt light and happy when I exited the salon : D My next stop was at Aunt Helen's (The pursue for beauty is neverending) Took a train to Somerset MRT station and reached her place at 5pm
: D
It was a painful session with her digging into my pores and squeezing yellowish-looking and sticky gunk out of every single of them (The downside of having oily skin) I guess my pain tolerance was high because I did not scream : P The best part of having facial is the mask - It made me doze off within minutes and I assume it was doing its job by extracting dirt and healing wounds eh?
I left Aunt Helen's with a beautiful mood and I met up with Fat Boy. Together, we went to have scissors cut curry rice : D~ I had my usual curry chicken wing, soya-sauced tau pok, fried beansprouts and cabbage and I absolutely love it! Though it was still early, we headed home and on the way to the carpark, we saw crowds at Tiong Ghee Temple and we decided to check it out as well as to offer incense. We went home after that and played a few rounds of poker card with Gramps while watching TV : D Well, I won 20 bucks from the both of them : D

The Weekends...
Today marks the end of the back-to-back public holidays (Christmas and Chinese New Year) that we thoroughly enjoyed. Yeah, it's time to get back to serious business : / (What the fuck) It makes me wonder how to tune to work mode - I seriously have zero mood to even edit resumes, what's more hit high sales? (Heck it, man...)
Last Friday evening, I had company dinner at Cherry Garden in Mandarin Oriental Hotel (See? My Friday was burnt) If not for Yam Gal and Sunshine Boy, I contemplated not attending at all. The food was seriously bad except for the yu sheng and shark's fin soup (and that also happened to be the killer, with loads of cornstarch!) I really don't fancy delicacies that are multi-coated with cornstarch and MSG, despite looking oh-so-delicious. We left the hotel feeling so damn bloated (...and it left me phobic of meat for the next few days) Though it was a bad idea to down beer on bloated intestines, the need to chill with some ice cold was overwhelming - We headed to Alleybar for some booze and lotsa gossip ; )
As for last Saturday, Fat Boy and I went to Johor Bahru to shop for a wedding package. Initially, our plan was to take a look at Dawn's Wedding after lunch, but the colourful decor at Printemps caught my eye, hence, we strolled into the artsy looking bridal boutique instead ; ) After browsing through the many portfolios and much negotiation for a better price and more items, we decided to go for it and paid a small deposit before heading to the movies : ) (Yay!) Our Saturday night did not end there, we met up with the SPI guys for beer at Bali House in Orchard Road back in Singapore ; P However, we did not join them for supper at Liang Seah Street as we thought sleep would be much preferred (How to gorge at 3am?!)
As for yesterday, I woke up at 11am as I had to get ready for Sworn Sista's arrival. Despite our watered-down relationship, we continued with the annual house-visiting practice as if nothing had changed : / Fat Boy and I reached home at 3pm and we quickly had our 40 winks before going to Godpa's house for dinner : D (Too bad it was a Sunday, hence everybody left before 10pm)
As if it was a non-working day the following day, we played poker cards with Gramps who won 11 bucks from us >: ( We only slept at 1:30am because it was unhealthy to sleep with a full tummy! (Fat Boy was hungry and cooked abalone-flavoured noodles and I was so tempted by the aroma that I drank lotsa MSG-laden soup!!)
